    The finals begin on Tuesday.
    He should have started Goff today again. Every game.

      Goff is amazing, and is just a junior. Here's hoping she gets picked up by a D1 team!

      • North Georgia used 5 UNEARNED runs in the 5th to defeat Grand Valley 7-3. It was a really good game up until then. Pitching was excellent: W:Tybee Denton (21-2) L:Beatus, Hannah (30-2) S:Sophie Mooney (3)

        They play again tomorrow at 11 am. If needed a third game will be played tomorrow afternoon.

        • North Georgia wins it all, defeating Grand Valley 3-0. The Nighthawks' Kristen Davis only needed 82 pitches in 7 innings. She gave up 5 hits and no walks in the win. 64-7 was the season record for North Georgia.

          Grand Valley's excellent pitcher Hannah Beatus came into the championship round 30-1 but lost 2 consecutive games to North Georgia. She and Tatum Goff (UT Tyler) were named all tournament pitchers.

                Exactly!

                What does WT need to do to return to championship form? We have lost 2 excellent pitchers, Lair and Wilson, 3rd baseman Murtha (also excellent), 2 excellent outfielders (Salzman and Guzman) and one good reserve one. First base needs someone who can bat consistently. Short stop needs a great player like those of the B era. The current one is good, we just need to improve.

                So we need at least one really good pitcher, preferably a lefty. 3 great infielders, some good pinch hitters, a much better catcher, and much faster players. If we get all of that, we might be able to beat Tyler.

                WT had 8 losses, which included 5 to Tyler. 2 of those games should have been won. We were 2-2 against OSU and 2-1 against St. Edwards. In that loss, Emilee Wilson threw a no hitter but was charged with the loss due to an unearned run.

                Speaking of Salzman and Guzman the Tyler announcer mentioned that they were sisters, evidently because their names end in "zman". What an idiot. Maybe WT will hire him as an administrator.

                    WTAMU=WEST TEXAS AZZHOLE UNIVERSITY 😉

                    This may drive me to actually "retire" from the D2 Football messageboard, and leave the playground solely to the 10's of WTAMU posters.

                    Unless, I can find a DII FOOTBALL messageboard about FOOTBALL, I might just stick with my FzbS site.
