Curious to see what other schools do with these open dates, especially the ones oater in the year.
Bemidji makes more sense from a regional perspective but I could handle a trip to New Haven.

    • Wouldn't be shocked if instead there was some conference schedule reshuffling that allowed for playing a conference opponent twice, home and away. CWU and WOU for sure since that's a bus trip.

New Haven decided Lincoln U California was a good idea for week 6 (time to go throw up now). I would get out of that game and try to schedule Angelo in a heartbeat. Win or lose, it’s a better game. Texas BBQ versus New Haven pizza!

Northeast 10 has done that for a few years with all the D1 defections.

I lived just outside New Haven for many years, and have been in Texas for 30 years now. Given the choice between Texas BBQ and New Haven pizza its the Pepe's white clam pie all day and its not even close. The best of Texas BBQ and Sallys tomato pie and Modern's sausage pie are in a dead heat for second.

            • Is there a post on this thread to easily see which weeks/teams were affected by the SFU decision?

              • CWU could put in Minot State for the SFU game lost.

                Why not Minot?

And Week 2 with Western Colorado.

                  • Delta State could use a game week 9. We only have 10 games scheduled, with 1 being FCS Mississippi Valley State. Would be nice to see Delta State vs Eastern New Mexico. Something different.

                      • Looks like Sul Ross travels to Western New Mexico week 1 and then hosts Eastern New Mexico week 2.

What a coincidence and that makes sense since Southwest Baptist played in Odessa last year.

Let's hope the result is different this time.

                            • I reached out on the MIAA board to see if Central Missouri is still scheduled to play Lincoln on November 11th where the Simon Fraser hole is on WT's schedule. Might be the best chance to fill that game since that was the last conference game of the year.

This would be an extreme long shot but there is a school in the NE conference that has an open week on November 11 which is St. Anselm college.

cwfenn you know much about this school?

St. Anselm is probably not looking for more games since they already have three true OOC games in 2023. Recent history also suggests they won’t likely travel outside of the Northeast either. That being said, if they agree on a game, they’re in the middle of the NE10 (6-4 in 2022) and can be a real pest to the top teams in the conference because they always seem to find good quarterbacks.

They’re also one of the few NE10 schools who have released a 2023 schedule:
