  • Any feedback on new WT AD?

You guys over in Canyon, have you had contact with the AD? Haven’t heard a peep about him.

I’m not in Canyon but I have noticed improvement in the Buffalo Club.

I had difficulty with recurring donations being processed and that has been fixed without me having to do anything to get it fixed.

I've had several "hellos" in passing, but nothing of consequence. Too early to tell.

If he was, he would have done it by now two weeks after the season.

Lynn was always getting another year.

I feel he does need to be 7-4 minimum next year to show the progress that us old timers are expecting.

It's like that old joke, Kentucky committed a violation, so Elon got punished.

I looked at the last 2 seasons of soccer results and they were terrible.

I can’t imagine that happening unless we go back to scheduling North American, Texas College, and OPSU.

Lynn benefited from Kingsville giving us a win and MSU being too slow to overtake us.

Without Gibson the team will tank.

If WT has a non-conference schedule like Missouri Southern and Adams State, then I think that would be better with two D2 games to start out 2-0 and have confidence going into the conference schedule.

Having the same non conference schedule last year getting their heads pounded in doesnt do the team any favors especially since they will be starting over again in a sense now that the starting QB is leaving the program.

Gibson is good but he isnt Dustin Vaughan or Keith Null. WT will have opportunities to find a good replacement in the portal.

This year will be a good opportunity to improve that win total to 7+wins. WT is still a long way away from a conference championship and playoff spot.

Agreed he isn’t upper tier but he’s still the best we had.

We have been a long way from the post season since the year Carthel was fired. I would like Lynn to be successful but I see almost no progress during his term. He either needs to find some really good assistant coaches or find a new line of work - quickly.

WOU seems to do okay after being mauled early in the season. The difference? Better coaching. UTPB, Angelo, and CWU also have much better coaching.

Due to the new roster limitations from the House Settlement, there is projected to be over 5,000 players in the portal this year, just for Division 1. Those players have to go somewhere, and a big chunk will be heading to lower divisions. D1 rosters are being shaved an average of 27 players in order to meet the new roster requirements. Assume a fourth of those are seniors, and that's still 21 players per D1 team that don't have a spot. Multiplied times 262 D1/FBS programs, that's 5502 players now looking for a place to play.

Any D2 player entering the portal right now risks not being on any team, at any level, next fall.
