Briles probably had to find ENMU on a map....and now that Portales has let the stink get rubbed off on them he won't last more than a year....

Fire a good coach and person obviously for this.....AT BEST a guy you KNOW is gonna go ASAP, and at worst and more likely going to have ANOTHER scandal except ENMU can't afford it. ..

With his connections and NIL he could turn ENMU into an instant contender. Yeah he's probably gone in a couple of years but I would give him that chance all day for a playoff sniff that ENMU hasn't had since VCR's. If WT fired Josh and hired Briles, I would have supported this too.

Maybe all of the above. He's coached all over Texas at every level. I know some ENMU fans won't like it but until this morning 99% of the country has never heard of ENMU unless you are on this LSC forum, their website, or once a year on KAMR (IYKYK). Just his mention alone has ENMU all over national headlines and that in itself is a huge win.

Briles might be able to do that...might, but probably not, we aren't even fully funded in scholarship money and you think hes going to bring in enough NIL money to contend with the big schools of the LSC much less nationally? Please

Lee was not unsuccessful and everything pointed to him once again being able to contend for conference titles and playoffs sooner than later. The things holding Lee back are not going away for Briles.

Briles and our AD are just using ENMU as toilet paper and air freshner to get the crap and stink off Briles so he can move on to better things in a year.

If even 1 incident happens like what happened at Baylor it will have far more impact at ENMU and in Portales, Baylor survived ENMU football might not and for what a chance to make the playoffs with a coach that is going to bail at the first D1 million dollar deal.
