Despite a new coaching staff and lots of new players/starters, CWU leads the way ranked #7/9. UTPB ranked #18 in both polls, and WOU ranked #22 in the AFCA poll but #14 in the D2FB poll. WTAMU and ASU both receiving votes in the AFCA poll.

Flo Football released their top 25. They have CWU at 5, UTPB at 16, and WOU at 23.

Especially because Central was a first round exit last year, I just don't really think they should be in the top 10 and definitely not the top five to start the season when they have an entirely new coaching staff and so many new faces on the roster.

I rank the preseason as a 5 out of 10. Mildly interesting...

Not to poo-poo the teams here or anywhere else but I feel its a regurgitation every year of +/- 5 places of where they finished the previous years that lacks in depth real time knowledge of current state/year of said football teams.

LSC coaches more in tune feeling Western Oregon is the favorites and UTPB having a massive drop off at 5th place in the pre-season rankings doesnt line up at all with those top 25 national polls.

With all the turnover I do not even want to guess where CWU will be, we do not even have our roster posted yet.

I fully agree with that sentiment. Especially in the age of the transfer portal, recruiting and other factors that don’t have any impact on pre season. Till the first few games when that info comes to light, then the polls fluctuate.

I moved office furniture for 3 hours today in anticipation that CWU will give me the call...I just can't mention that I'm 50, live completely across the country, and never played organized football before, but I didn't use any eligibility as an undergrad!
