  • Great conference preview

Excellent conference preview by Craig Fenn, it's up on the main page. I encourage everyone to read it. Very good.

Yes, very nice. And he wrote it without even seeing a roster from us lol.

I like the old written columns like the lsc has over the videos because I can get away with reading those at work. :)

Not sure why I "liked" your post. I have never watched a D2 video column thingy. Like you, I enjoy the read.

Thanks for doing this again Cwfenn. I’m sure it’s not easy putting all this together. Thanks for all the insights. I always enjoy the read. The PNW teams definitely deserve their billing. I do feel that the LSC has the capability of being as volatile a conference this year as I have seen in years with what’s at stake for each team and some their programs could be in the balance and all the other variables of the unknown. Going into week three is going to be very interesting. I don’t think the LSC champion will be undefeated in conference play. There is a lot of games I wish I could make this year and not just of my Rams. Thanks again for all that you do.

              Craig,
Your increasing familiarity with the LSC really shines thru. This year's preview is your best ever. Thanks!

I definitely miss the reading. I just generally don't have the time to watch a half hour to an hour video. I try and scrub through the videos to the part that is most relevant, even though I find all of it relevant. I could the article in about 10 or 15 minutes. I understand that video format is for the masses, though, just not for me. I appreciate the time and effort Witt and everyone puts in to their columns, and I don't want them to think otherwise. However, if they could put time stamps in the videos, that would be a much appreciated feature, here.

Thanks everyone. This year's was the toughest year I've had because of all the roster movement. I like counting on knowing which players are returning, and when there's a bunch of transfers, that blows it all up unless I find articles that do the work for me (thank you Angelo State!).

Next week's (Week 1) game preview will be a lot easier since I will have seen who's actually on the field. Maybe CWU will have a roster by then too.

I typically don't mind the podcasts, and I've thought about doing one here, but given the way I prep and put these articles together, it's really tough for me to have everything ready for a particular time to do a podcast myself, or to do the other work related to a podcast. The few interviews I've done, I tend to make the interviewer's lives miserable because I tend to get nervous and ramble on about whatever is in my head (my apologies, @Goods). I think writing is an easier way to use the time that I have to put it together in a way that makes sense. That could be my age showing there.

What videos are you talking about? I haven't seen any videos in the last couple years regarding the Lone Star Conference.

Most of the other conferences do the video version instead of the written.

Other conferences have fewer readers than the LSC

Um..........I remember the interview, we got a lot of listens on that pod. I attribute it to your knowledge! I think we should do that again after we get a few weeks into the season.
