Week 0 Game Thread

[AngeloFan]

ASU in weather delay. Our store is four blocks from the stadium and it was coming a friggin flood when I left. Been raining ever since. Looks like at least another hour.

[cwfenn]

ENMU and NM Highlands tied at 7 early first

WNMU behind 7-6 early first

[cwfenn]

WT went for it on fourth and goal at the WCU 1 and got sacked.

WT and WCU scoreless late first.

[cwfenn]

Two long passes put WCU on top 7-0

[cwfenn]

ENMU running open auditions for the QB position, three have played QB in the first quarter.

[cwfenn]

WNMU down 14-12 because their kicker sucks.

[WT_TKW]

After moving to the WC 1, WT's offensive calls turned buffoonish. Then it basically took 2 long passes for WC to score.

Porter has played pretty well, he's fairly mobile and accurate. He's had a couple of drops.

Asu starts in 20 minutes

[WT_TKW]

Porter had a great run but it was called back to holding. On the next play he was hit hard and fumbled. Thanks to too many players on defense, WC eventually scored and are up 14-0;

[cwfenn]

A strip sack for WCU sets up another TD. WCU up 14-0 early second.

[cwfenn]

ENMU tied with NM Highlands at 14 early second

[cwfenn]

After a WCU field goal, WT fumbled the kickoff (they have a Sul Ross transfer returning kicks?) and they scored another TD.

24-0 WCU late second and WT can't get out of their own way.

[WT_TKW]

WT gives up a FG, then fumbles on the kickoff return, giving WC the ball on the 3. It took 4 plays but WC scores on a reverse/pass play. WC leads 24-0.

[cwfenn]

WNMU up 18-14 and Highlands up 21-14, both in the second

[cwfenn]

To cap off a nightmare first half, WT misses a 21-yard field goal before the buzzer and it's WCU ahead 24-0 at halftime.
