WT Men's & Women's Basketball 2026-27

I just got home with 2 minutes left in the 3rd qtr of the WC football blowout, and I think it's time for this threads to begin.

I'll be going to some early practices next week, get a feel for the new players. and report back here.

It was bad, 4 years and get blow out at home. I believe the score at point was 52-7 ended at 52 -21. Time for the coach to go.

I keep telling myself that this is a non conference game and the LSC championship is the path to the playoffs.

I 100% agree that this is a game you absolutely have to win at home or it be a one possession loss with the losses Western Colorado also had in the off season.

Getting blown out at home destroys morale, attendance, and potential donors to try to convince that WT football is worth investing in.

I will reserve my judgement until if/when WT goes 0-3 with a loss to Angelo State.

If that happens, I will definitely be one of the first ones to call for Josh to be let go and go for a coach with modern models to build a team with the NIL/transfer portal.

IF this is a year for WT to win the LSC, its this one with all the turnover and bowl win last year.

Western Colorado is a really good football team, I know you guys are frustrated but losing to WCO week 1 shouldn't be enough to bring the pitchforks out coming off an 8 win season.

I forgot what thread I was reading in and saw a comment about Lynn above and just posted. It was a really bad showing, a lot of really dumb mistakes and the team was not prepared. We will see how they respond this week.

It wasnt so much losing, it was the blowout fashion of how it happened.

No way WT should be losing 38-0, 52-7 to any D2 football team at any point in a game at this stage outside of Ferris State and Harding.

WT fans and donors are expecting a playoff competitive team by year 5 especially how wide open the LSC is.
