Matt Witwicki Your comments (on the other thread) almost make it seem like more than SCSU and Crookston may be exploring dropping football. Have you heard that is a possibility at other schools?

Nobody else. I'd heard of this a few days ago..but wanted to let it happen instead of rumor mill the deal..as the kids didn't know yet, seemingly.

One could speculate another school or two....due to budget and such....but football is tied to enrollment....so plenty of schools wouldn't think to cut it, when looking at a small school..given how it drives enrollment.

I guess I can understand Crookston but St. Cloud??? I would have imagined a few other programs before them. Is it too late? is their a last-ditch fundraising effort in the works?
