  • Not sure when it became official but I see that former Winona Senior High standout out Terrell Hall is transfering in from North Dakota State.

          • Nice article about Justin Taormina who has decided to take a job instead of staying at MSU. Outstanding young man.

It's a no-brainer in my book. It's nice to see that the split is on good terms for all parties. I wish him well in his endeavors!

I don't mean to quote a month-old post but my participation here has been spotty - so I am just now seeing it.

From what I can tell, Casey has still been practicing fairly hard since his MSU days. I'm glad to see he is still getting looks.

He was a great kicker for the Mavs, though I think his NFL chances were hurt when he was forced to attempt some bizarre kicks his senior season from what I recall. Hopefully he can land a spot somewhere eventually.

He did catch Pat McAfee's attention one day on Twitter - I was hoping that would lead to an opportunity in the XFL or something.

                    • Amen. He's coming to MSP this weekend for the Teddy Bridgewater Reunion (Reed and Thielen may be a sideshow to that, but what a sideshow).

I miss reading comments from the Shakespeare of D2football.com. Or is it the Chaucer? Either way I appreciate the wittiness.

I think I shall never see,
A poem is lovely as Chris Reed.
He's been lifting weights for many years,
His mass would bring Coach Todd to tears.
"Why didn't he do that while a Mav?"
Is what we'd hear each chance we have.
Laker knows of whom I speak,
The man behind one QB sneaks.
He's just a guard, no Adam Thielen.
Maybe this weekend it's Chris who's dealing.
So buckle up, and in you tune.
It's D2 time Sunday at noon.

                          - Shakespeare, Jr.

If I could still give rep points this would top the list.
