I know a lot of the season is still up in the air and hearing about it non-stop is exhausting. However, I stumbled across this and it would have a big impact on the NSIC and its current schedule:
For 2020 only, Division II lowers maximum number of games from 11 to 10 and minimum from 10 to 7.
    https://www.ncaa.org/about/resources...nimums-2020-21

The above press release (from Friday 5/15) said it needed to be approved by the President's Council yesterday, where it is now listed as "effective May 19, 2020." See here:

Long story short, IF, there is a season (fans or no fans, delayed or truncated start, whatever. That's a discussion for somewhere else.), the NSIC and our all-conference schedule will have to be shortened by a game. So what team do you get to miss from the opposite division? I'd presume that is the answer. Bye week instead?

Wrestling already approved the reduction. Depending on each stated guidelines the South and North Dakota schools would likely be able to play each other as i don't know what's going on in Nebraska and Iowa. As a Minnesota resident I'd be shocked if they allow it here unless Row The Boat can use that paddle for intimidation.

Perhaps they don't even have a conference this year and games are just played as allowed but regardless, what a schedule disaster. This is just football and regular season we are talking, ha.

I'll assume that with being limited to ten games, that the first game that was on the schedule won't be played? For us, that would have been a Thursday night game hosting Northern.

Has anyone seen limits on D3 yet?

Interesting. MSU and USF are the only other schools with updated schedules out, but they show the same story: the opening game being moved to the final week, with the original closing opponent dropped. This means that most schools will miss a team in their division.

If that's the move by the conference, MSU drops off the schedule for my beloved Warriors. Not sure how to feel about that.

No Peacocks to be seen this year for the Coo. Winona and Kato in back to back to weeks plus Bemidji to end the season. Real tough back 9 to this season.

                The updated USF schedule:

Sep 12 (Sat) 1 pm @ Minot State

Sep 19 (Sat) 1 P.M. vs. Concordia, St. Paul

Sep 26 (Sat) 2:30 PM @ Northern State

                Oct 3 (Sat) 1 P.M. vs. Augustana

Oct 10 (Sat) 5 pm @ Southwest Minnesota State

                Oct 17 (Sat) 1 P.M. vs. U-Mary

Oct 24 (Sat) 1 P.M. vs. Winona State

                Oct 31 (Sat) 1 P.M. @ Minnesota State - Mankato

Nov 7 (Sat) 1 pm @ Wayne State

Nov 14 (Sat) 1 P.M. vs. Bemidji State

That's a disappointing game to lose for the conference.

                      Augie's updated schedule:

                      https://goaugie.com/sports/football/schedule

This is a BRUTAL schedule. At Bemidji and USF in back to back weeks. Then vs Mankato, vs Winona, and @ Duluth in succession at the back end.

Yikes. You are not kidding. That's about as tough as the road gets.
