    The ballot for the 2021 class of the College Football Hall of Fame is out. Here are some candidates that have ties to the NSIC:

    Coach

    Ross Fortier, Minnesota-Moorhead (1970-92)

    School's all-time winningest coach....led his team to seven postseason playoff appearances and nine conference championships. Led 1981 team to unbeaten regular season and number one ranking in final regular season poll. Member of the NAIA Hall of Fame.

    James Malosky, Minnesota-Duluth (1958-97)
    Winningest coach in Division II history at time of retirement.....led teams to nine conference championships......Named NSIC, MIAC and/or NAIA Coach of the Year 13 times.....produced 33 winning seasons in 40 years at UMD



    A coach becomes eligible three full seasons after retirement or immediately following retirement provided he is at least 70 years of age. Active coaches become eligible at 75 years of age. H emust have been a head coach for a minimum of 10 years and coached at least 100 games with a .600 winning percentage.

    I'm surprised Malosky isn't in already. He was one of the most winningest coaches in all of college football when he retired, let alone D2.
