Total bush move. It sounds like we should be about where UNI is right now if they didn't cancel that season. I heard we also dropped plans to get a law school around that time, and the hippie protests at that time. What a disastrous administration. We could truly be Minnesota's 2nd university but squandered it.

Another great game from the defense yesterday with three picks and some sacks. While Winona has a pretty good defense the offense continues to struggle. If the offense can back to where it was last year and over the past couple years this team will be very tough to beat. I hate to say it but i think Schlichte should be benched. He had a long pass yesterday on a drive that led to a touchdown but overall just hasnt been good. He's thrown the only interceptions on the team and has a completion percentage around 30. Let JD take over and have full confidence that he can play the whole game.

Credit to the coaches and players for a high-level performance vs. UMD yesterday. The first play of the game resulting in an 80-yard TD pass from Schlicte to Zylstra was amazing. As mentioned, the Mavs need to stay focused for each game of the remaining regular-season schedule.

Staying focused will be very important. Other than @ Sioux Falls the rest of the schedule is very favorable and should be easy wins, but you never know what could happen. Have to have that same approach they had yesterday for the rest of the season.

I have heard nothing concerning the injured Mav player to this point. Hopefully he is ok.

Just found out that the game at Crookston on Oct. 26 has been moved to the Alerus Center in Grand Forks for a 6 PM game. The UMC game with Northern has also been moved there so the Golden Eagle field must be in rough shape.

Interesting. Well, it's not much further for travel, and at least won't have to deal with possible adverse weather and playing conditions.

Or ruts in the field. The biggest problem is the time change. Playing at noon compared to playing at six. As a fan, it will be a pretty late return.

Right now the team is scheduled for driving up Friday and staying in Crookston. They could save money by leaving around 8 Saturday morning- stretch their legs in St Cloud, maybe even in Fargo, and still make it with hours to spare. I don't think that many players would get in trouble on Friday night in Mankato- it is the Thursday and Saturday nights that are the war zones.
