  • OT: Something not seen often in NSIC

Take a look at the top of the standings. Not the school typically seen in that position. In anything.

Good for them! I don't know how they get baseball players to go there but congratulations on having some success!

Their baseball program has been steadily getting better the last few years. They even sent a guy to the draft in 2018. I'm not sure if he's still playing or not, but still very impressive. Neat story too.

Good to see them finding success somewhere.

UMC this decade is proof that coaching/recruiting makes a difference.

Gust is a helluva coach. Also shows what being fully funded does when most schools are nowhere near. Good for UMC. Money helps and they hired the right coach who couldn't screw that up. He is a good coach and recruiter nd gets lots of local talent.

The Golden Eagle baseball team is in 2nd place because they've earned it. With average facilities, far north location and a small town, they are beating the odds. Perhaps dropping football freed up some scholarships for baseball. Steve Gust must be a helluva coach and has a ranked team

Zach Siepel was assigned to Low-A for the Braves a few days ago.

Happy to see someone from UMC playing in the professional ranks.

Still crazy to see them so high on the regional rankings! I believe they were in 3rd or 4th place for the region?
