game of the week is Bemidji at USF -- that should be a good one.

Other game that is a tossup is in Marshall which is great .

I assume Moorhead is starting the freshman from Jamestown. Highly regarded recruit. Looking forward to watching him play

I agree. Those two were the challenging picks.

Bemidji is great a some position units (especially RB, WR and LB) but I think the overall depth and balance at USF gives them the edge. And Bemidji has to travel. If that game were in Bemidji I'd likely have taken the Beavers.

I wanted to pick SMSU. If this game were Week 3 I likely would have. Too many new players at SMSU that have not played together. I think it will be low scoring. On paper both teams defenses are better than the offenses. If SMSU can establish a run game with Duce and win the turnover battle they got it.

Bemidji will be without Junior running back Jalen Frey this season as he suffered an injury in preseason practice according to Lakeland News out of Bemidji.

Sophomore Sage Booker is now the likely number one running back.

Another game that could be competitive is CSP at WSU. The Golden Bears finished 6-5 in 2019 beating BSU and USF, they had some close games in losses, 20-21 against AU and an OT 15-18 against SCSU, ( RIP Huskie FB) However, WSU returns their starting QB and this season is the last for NSIC dean of FB coaches Tom Sawyer.

I think that CU really benefits by moving to the North.

related. no one has benefitted in the last decade more from being in the North than UMD

Probably not thread worthy so I'll share it here, but former CSP linebacker Chris Garrett makes the Rams' 53-man roster.

Speaking of Garrett, did anyone see his bonkers driver against the Raiders from a couple weeks ago? Preseason or not... wow.

Mav O-Line kicking the rust off... two nice runs for Sleezer. 2 play TD drive. 7-0 Mavs.
