Wasn't the field a quagmire and it turned into a tractor pull- like the ending of Leatherheads?

Tractor pull is right! Five inches of rain on Friday...field is destroyed!

This season took a major turn when Alt went down. BSU is thin at RB and lost one of the top QB's in the NSIC. The defense is good, but I dont believe good enough. They went from playoff contenders to NSIC middle of the pack when he went down. I bet Ogden wishes he didn't leave. They could use him now. He is a player.

It could get ugly this week against Duluth.

Sounds like Alt may be back sooner rather than later. Watch until the end of the clip:

Cannot say I am much of a Patriot fan, but they sure know how to find talent from small schools. I remember a small RB from Chadron St. Danny Woodhead played for NE. Here's wishing Gunner a long career in the NFL.

His career trajectory baffles me... went from being told he was going to be cut to catching passes from Tom Brady in a very short period of time...

I mean, I honestly think he earned it and I'm very much rooting for him... it's just such a fascinating path he is carving out.

Don't like the Pats but if he could catch a dozen passes for 180 yards and three TDs it would be great! As long at NE would lose. I'm happy that he is doing well- I love to pull for the "little guy".

This team could be a force next year. They are loaded at receiver and running back. Their best RB didn't play this year. Grades? They have a solid defense and some really young players that will turn some heads next year. If they get the QB issue fixed with Alt recovering from ACL or a D1 transfer QB...look out!!

Gunner Olszewski has been placed on IR by the Patriots for the rest of the season due to an ankle and hamstring issue.

Some sad news out of Bemidji. BSU assistant coach and Chemistry Department Chair Ken Traxler's health took a horrible turn over the last couple of days. Please keep his family and friends in your thoughts and prayers.
