  • Week 2 Games - chat

    Saturday September 10
Minot State at Sioux Falls (1:00)
    Bemidji State at Augustana (1:00)
    Mary at Winona State (1:00)
Minnesota State-Moorhead at Upper Iowa (3:00)
Concordia-St. Paul at Southwest Minnesota State (5:00)
    Minnesota-Duluth at Minnesota State-Mankato (6:00)
Northern State at Wayne State (6:00)

Appears the biggest game is UMD at MSU. Neither team is full strength and neither team is the giants they recently were. But both look to be building back in that direction.

Minnesota State-Moorhead at Upper Iowa (3:00)

Game should be starting just after the Gophers game wraps up. Looking forward to the double header, God I love college football Saturdays.

I'll be at MSU/UMD - I expect some sort of a crowd, probably not a crazy large one like the last meeting in Mankato, but still a good showing.

Should be fun. Hoping for win #1 for SMSU this week too.

High temp of 69 degrees in Coo Falls tomorrow. Nice. Fall football weather is here.

Looking forward to taking in the game and seeing what improvements USF has made from last week against a maybe improved Minot team? We'll see.

Augustana will have their hands full against a 1 loss Bemidji outfit whose playoff possibilities would be damaged with another defeat. Brandon Alt will throw the ball all over the field, while the Vikings will control clock with a powerful running game.

I am hoping Bemidji can control their turnovers. BSU basically handed Mankato 21 points last week on turnovers in their 37-34 loss (a pick-six, a fumble returned for six and a muffed punt at the 3).

Dragons up by 10 at the half. A bit sloppy there to start but MSUM seems to have found their groove. Unfortunate that the conditions suck today. Also, really wish Upper Iowa broadcast had a scorebug .

Can the Upper Iowa broadcasters please STOP saying the Dragons are from Fargo?! The school's location is literally in the name! It's Moorhead numb nuts.

Mavs with a fumble recovery at the UMD 25. 3:25 1Q

Been a pretty exciting game so far, lots of big plays.

                            Mavs punch it in. 14-3 2:44 1Q

This is the Mavs team I remember from years prior, for the most part.

Ground and pound game in Wayne, America. Wolves think they can manhandle the Wildcats DLine and we will see if it pays off. 3-3 tie with 10:30 to go in 2nd quarter.
