Anyone liking anthracite uniforms should be sent to work in coal mines and dig by hand. Horrible things.

Use your school colors. If you don't like them, change them. Buffalo Lake was orange and black. Loved them. Now everyone has black. Don't get me started on Oregon.

My buddy played football at SMSU. He took his daughter to look at the campus. Stopped at the bookstore and at that time found nothing in brown. But they did have plaid. He still shakes his head over that.

Not a fan of black MSU uniforms. Back when I was a grad assistant in the history department, MSU men's basketball wore gray. Baseball had blue. Someone else, I think wrestling, wore black. After seeing this I wrote to the school paper, the Reporter, asking if the nickname should be changed to the Rainbow Warriors because of this. Someone in the athletic department told me that the MSU president saw that letter to the editor and sent out a memo that all future uniforms would be in school colors. Too bad that she retired.

Millsy, is the accent color for BSU gold or bronze?

Schwan's "Inca Gold" was developed and created by Milford Paxton for Marvin Schwan at his request.. Milford ran Paxton Signs and made the signs for Schwan's.

Milford never got royalties off the creation of Inca Gold.. Milford's son John was my neigbor for 20 years until he dies in 2017. Huge Mustang fan. Waved the giant Mustang flag on Hawaiian Night.

Yup - both things can be true at once, and the early season games are my favorite for that reason.

Witt, said AU home uniforms pop on photo's.

Mustangs uniforms have true gold colors.

The gold/tan is hard to explain. It isn't Mankato or Goofer gold, it isn't Vegas gold, it isn't really tan, either. And the fact that it doesn't look like the same color across programs.....

Women's hockey only wears them on special occasions, so I am okay with that.
Yeah that "gold" looks like they are using the color of the Beaver.....I don't hate it, but some colors like that don't transfer as well on certain fabrics so it looks inconsistent.

I'm surprised I do not remember that blue trim on the basketball jerseys at all. That's definitely interesting.

As a Michigan fan I'm contractually obligated to call it Maize, not yellow.

You're probably spot on - I know the black unis were crowdfunded, I think I gave $10 or something towards them.

The football grays still exist... I see them every now and again. Usually for things like scout team and spring practice. So at least there's a silver lining - we're not ruining our good uniforms before the game starts.

As for gold, is it like a Mankato "gold" (aka yellow) or gold like Bemidji's secondary color (more of a tan, I guess you could call that though)?

And I have never been a fan of colors that are not part of your school scheme. Black is overdone, but I realize today's players like it. I also didn't like it when BSU had a basketball coach who threw blue uniforms into the rotation (Jeff Guiot). And now some of the BSU programs are throwing gold jerseys into the mix, um, no, not a fan.

    Now, get off my lawn!!!!
