Should Jamestown be accepted into the NSIC?

For sure - didn't mean to sound like I was arguing, I just thought it was interesting on how different it looked in the two photos, but he's absolutely right on what can affect a photo. Definitely Miller Hall at CSC, just beyond the fence of the football stadium.

I saw this posted elsewhere and a couple people were trying to figure out what game it was, since it was Jamestown I thought I'd share. I believe MSU, SMSU, and now Jamestown are the only NSIC programs to have their likeness featured on a card - I'd love to know of more if there are any.

It's interesting how different the building looks in those two photos - Chadron must have renovated it at some point, which is what threw me off. But I can totally understand wanting to modernize the windows and maybe redoing the facade a bit.

Make sure you're looking at the orange brick building farther back to compare, not the darker brown brick.....looks the same to me except for the faded color.

The two teams also played in 1989....in Jamestown. Probably a home-and-home.

I would assume in Chadron. Dark jerseys. And a photographer wouldn't be sent to Jamestown to take a photo of a visiting player.

Good point on the jerseys. What threw me off is the building in the background - Jamestown doesn't have anything like that by their football field and it only vaguely resembles the one across from Chadron's field. But it's also a 37 year old photo, so maybe they remodeled since. Probably likely, in fact.

I was going to reach out to Don again and see if he'd sign a copy for me - might be cool to track down #3 and ask him to do the same.

I came across this football card recently that shows a picture of Don Beebe catching a pass against Jamestown in their 1988 week 3 matchup - but I can't tell where the game was played, and would also like to know who #3 is for Jamestown in the photo.

As for the game location - I want to say Chadron as the building vaguely resembles Miller Hall, but I can't tell. Anyone have any info on where the game happened and a Jamestown roster I can reference?

well my proposal to have the state fund it is due to the uniqueness of the program, it the state's commitmnet to diversity with money.

also, it woul help the SMSU athletic budget out .

I gotcha. Anything to lighten the load on the athletic department would be nice.

I think I will make the SMSU - Jamestown football game in September. Likely to play golf in Ft Ransom, Jamsetown, and maybe another spot or 2

It's a little out of your way, but Wahpeton/Breckenridge is the only course in the county where the front nine is in one state and the back nine is in another.

Funny enough, I believe I have walked only one golf course in my life, and it was in Ellendale.

Not sure what the second bit has to do with anything. As for the first bit - I acknowledged that SMSU Wheelchair basketball was a varsity sport, not a club sport.

it is considered on par with all other sports and should be.

I asked once why the State of Minnesota doesn't fully fund this... it would be a great way for the State to put its money where it's mouth is on disabled students and equity and diversity. The Legislature should pay for all of Wheelchair outside of the other funding it gives to SMSU.
