Isn't there some type of clause in the agreement that would allow NDSU to join the MWC in the future for everything? Thought I heard that - "first right of refusal" type deal or something.
I know that's not in NDSU's current plans because it would cost a fortune and travel would be a nightmare, but being able to ditch the rest of the Dakota schools would be huge for them in the future if they want to get serious about sports. Hope they choose to pull that off down the line.

NDSU isn't leaving the Summit though. The Summit would benefit from having another member with a larger AD though so maybe MSU get's asked soon. It is farm more likely IMO that St. Thomas moves to the MVC before NDSU moves out of the conference for Olympic sportsOriginally posted by MrMustang View PostI agree Dakota State is likely to join the NSIC, primarly because Mankato is going eventually replace NDSU .

Unfortunately only one of those wins over CSP counted towards conference standings. It's early, but going forward they don't play a team over .500 until the last week of April....we'll see if they can pile up some wins.Originally posted by SW_Mustang View PostThe Jimmy Baseballers have worked their way up to a 5-16 record, including two wins over Concordia-St. Paul.

Are all these ACHA matches being played at a central location or on home ice?Originally posted by Millsy View PostMinot lost to Adrian 5-2, so all ACHA D-I men's teams are out.

Softball has been pretty surprising - 19-4 and wins against 3 NSIC teams.

In the next 5-10 years, I think we may have a Dakota State junk drawer thread....

We're well beyond being a junk drawer and have transformed into an unfinished basement with janky shelving.Last edited by WSUWarriorFan; 03-15-2026, 07:31 AM.
