Should Jamestown be accepted into the NSIC?

    Isn't there some type of clause in the agreement that would allow NDSU to join the MWC in the future for everything? Thought I heard that - "first right of refusal" type deal or something.

    I know that's not in NDSU's current plans because it would cost a fortune and travel would be a nightmare, but being able to ditch the rest of the Dakota schools would be huge for them in the future if they want to get serious about sports. Hope they choose to pull that off down the line.

    NDSU isn't leaving the Summit though. The Summit would benefit from having another member with a larger AD though so maybe MSU get's asked soon. It is farm more likely IMO that St. Thomas moves to the MVC before NDSU moves out of the conference for Olympic sports

    I agree Dakota State is likely to join the NSIC, primarly because Mankato is going eventually replace NDSU .

    Unfortunately only one of those wins over CSP counted towards conference standings. It's early, but going forward they don't play a team over .500 until the last week of April....we'll see if they can pile up some wins.

    The Jimmy Baseballers have worked their way up to a 5-16 record, including two wins over Concordia-St. Paul.

    Softball has been pretty surprising - 19-4 and wins against 3 NSIC teams.

    UMary won their first game over Lawrence Tech 3-2. They will now play today (Saturday) against Maryville (who has announced a move to NCAA D-I).

    Minot State, the number 1 seed, beat Missouri State 4-3. They will play Sunday against the winner of Adrian and Jamestown.

    Jamestown will play their first game today (Saturday) against Adrian.

    Women's D-II starts Sunday, Women's D-I starts Wednesday.
    UMary lost to Maryville 5-1

    Jamestown lost to Adrian 5-0

    Minot will play Adrian today (Sunday) in the quarterfinals at 8 PM.

    Women's D-II pool play kicks off today. You have to win your pool to advance to the semifinals.
    Jamestown lost to Liberty 5-2. The Jimmies will play St. Thomas Monday and Northeastern Tuesday.

    Women's D-I pool play kicks off Wednesday. You have to win your pool to advance to the semifinals.
    Wednesday, Jamestown vs Minot
    Thursday, Michigan-Dearborn vs Minot
    Friday, Jamestown vs Michigan-Dearborn

    We're well beyond being a junk drawer and have transformed into an unfinished basement with janky shelving.
