It 100% is done for clicks. I blocked that page along with several others so I don't see that nonsense on my feed.

I've seen this guys content on Instagram and Twitter before, and I'm convinced some of the stuff he puts out there is solely to generate clicks and engagement as opposed to being based in fact. There are D2 gameday atmospheres that could rival many FCS schools, and probably a couple G5 teams, but New Mexico Highlands, East Central, and Adams State are not teams I would put in that categoryOriginally posted by ESU Warrior View PostPenn state is top five in country…Pitt plays at an NFL stadium. Not even top 50. This is a joke.

Sounds familiar. Although UJ does have a $45MM endowment. Currently listed at 1290 students, but that’ll likely drop due to athletic changes/cuts.Originally posted by debergfan
Most schools that have closed had their athletes make up 40% of their school. Wasn't long ago Jamestown was losing a million a year. I would be extremely bear on a lot of these private schools, states pushing for free tuition, declining population, and external factors such as coaches and admissions staff receiving 2 pay raises in the next 12 months. Good luck to these private schools - most will close due these factors and low endowments.

Sincerely, I hope the UJ can become competitive in the future. Upper Iowa the school Jimmies are replacing was strong in men's BB and wrestling, they had some advantages as they are the only D2 school in Iowa and were close to Ilinois and Wisconsin for recruiting. UJ close competitors are larger and in bigger cities. MSUM being next to Fargo pulls a lot of ND athletes especially in FB, same goes for NSU. Nothing is going to be easy for the Jims. Good fortune Jimmies.Originally posted by oldyellaHer69 View PostSCSU needs to step away and let the new kids rock the NSIC #JIMS

My 9 year old manages things better than SCSU. Haha. But that line is true.
Their enrollment will decrease. How many schools that run their bottom line through sports/athletes close recently? Or have troubles. Not saying Jamestown is going to close, but the challenges will get harder rather than easier.

I would say there were 400 in attendance at the Gold Rush Raflle this winter. Sold 700 tickets..
That is an impressive turnout for sure. I won't scoff. My guess ifs they have some very dedicated alums.
The challenge is they are like Uper Iowa and the $$$$ needed to compete are enormous given their small enrollement. Just a big challenge.
And without JV rosters, hard to know what their enrollment will do, but I don't see it going up.
I will go on record and say this. The place is better run than SCSU.

At least the sun comes up in the winter in ND. For a few hours a day anyway.Originally posted by Stanger86 View Post
Certainly don't have to worry about them scoffing at the brutal eastern North Dakota winters!

Meh, no scoffing. 500 ain’t bad. (I didn’t watch the video if it gave any fundraising numbers)Originally posted by Stanger86 View PostI'm sure I can predict the people who will scoff at this, but I am pretty sure this is a bigger turnout than SMSU had at Gold Rush Raffle this year (MrMustang can correct me if I'm wrong)
