Should Jamestown be accepted into the NSIC?

Blue like lake blue or Babe blue? I mean, I can kinda get both on a one-off from a marketing perspective but it's not like you're really buying or selling those jerseys either.

As for gold, is it like a Mankato "gold" (aka yellow) or gold like Bemidji's secondary color (more of a tan, I guess you could call that though)?

Probably closer to lake blue. It really looked like the Timberwolves colors, white with blue and green accents, and they also had an all blue uniform with white and green accents.

The gold/tan is hard to explain. It isn't Mankato or Goofer gold, it isn't Vegas gold, it isn't really tan, either. And the fact that it doesn't look like the same color across programs.....

Women's hockey only wears them on special occasions, so I am okay with that.

Those grays were horrendous. To be honest, I thought I'd like them when they were first announced - our uniforms before then were starting to show a lot of age. But once I saw them on the field I was completely out.

Basketball got grays at the same time....also hideous. Other programs may have as well.I'm guessing it had to do with pricing, I'm pretty sure gray ones were considerably cheaper than brown ones. But still, considering how they've ponied (ha) to get the brown jerseys in years since, I'm guessing the alumni and donor base spoke loudly about the grays enough that I don't think we'll ever see that again.

I don't know why, but I have always been a fan of contrast. If you wear a dark top, you wear a light bottom, and vice versa. Must be the old school in me.

And I have never been a fan of colors that are not part of your school scheme. Black is overdone, but I realize today's players like it. I also didn't like it when BSU had a basketball coach who threw blue uniforms into the rotation (Jeff Guiot). And now some of the BSU programs are throwing gold jerseys into the mix, um, no, not a fan.

Those athletes don't deserve to be treated like that...

I do like the Winona States all black ones and I believe several years ago they had gray pants for a year or two. If I had my way they would go all black for night home games and all purple for the rest. One tops with purple pants for away games.

I can't seem to find a photo - but I believe we have a uniform combo of gold helmets, brown top, and brown bottom with matching gold accents.

That one is my favorite, but I don't think it gets worn often. I just think it's the cleanest look, no breaks in the color scheme, and the brown tone just felt professional to me.

The black unis that were debuted last season weren't awful, but I prefer school colors over blacks, whites, and especially grays (yuck).

Always have liked the earthy colors of SMSU uniforms. Brown tops and old gold helmets and pants. I'm sure Mustangs have a different description of colors?

I've always felt that our color scheme was representative of the university and the area it serves - I always thought about it as brown dirt cast against a golden sunset, a little nod to the topography and agricultural industry, though I believe "gold" is representative of native prairie grasses.

When I was there, a project group in my class did a survey about SMSU branding and it came back pretty negative - which blew my mind. I'm sure some see it as "number one" and "number two" - which fair enough, I guess. What I didn't understand was why the logo was so unpopular. That was just a student survey so probably not reflective of everyone, but still.

Here's a Fun Fact: Part of the reason Minnesota State uses a bull for a logo is because SMSU has a horse - in 1977, MSU held a "name the mascot" thinktank and the winning submission was the name "Maverick." The initial design was of a horse - but the NIC already had a horse mascot and MSU's design was too similar. President Douglas Moore changed it to a steer - a nod to his homeland of Texas.

Personally, I think "Fighting Muskies" would have been cool too - which was another popular option.

Bemidji is a solid pick. Now that I think about it, MSUM too. White helmets look nice.
