Men's volleyball is still a growing sport, so this is still the best case scenario for their program. Next closest sponsoring conferences would've been either the MIVA, which stretches into North Carolina, or the MPSF on the Pacific Coast.Originally posted by debergfan View Post
Average bus ride nearly 12 hours. No word on Men's Soccer though.
Jimmies men's soccer is definitely independent, at least for this year. Their schedule released a week or two ago

Growing sport or not, that’s got to be awfully difficult to run the program even close to break even. That’s a lot of travel and very little revenue (other than of course the tuition from the bloated roster).Originally posted by Finchwidget View Post

Although their recently completed schedule was all over the map too. And they went 7-20

I’d offer you ~2400 posts (pretty much) on that topic.Originally posted by Tdobson View PostSo, I usually follow the PSAC. But, I thought that Jamestown was already invited and accepted?
I know nothing about them. Were they any good in their last conference?
TLDR: Jamestown is in as of July 1, 2025 and they weren’t good in their previous conference except for women’s volleyball. Basically finishing 7th annually in their all sport standings. And they have ALL sports.

It's wild to me that Jamestown, despite being nothing more than a wide spot on a North Dakota highway, was the birthplace of both Darin Erstad and Travis Hafner. I didn't even know there was baseball in North Dakota... I just thought it was a cool military base in Minot surrounded by miles upon miles of existential dread... and wheat.
Congrats Jamestown, I guess. Joining the NSIC is definitely the most exciting thing to ever happen in a place like that.

Jamestown actually has a pretty nice ballpark in town. Has a short right field due to the river.Originally posted by SW_Mustang View PostIt's wild to me that Jamestown, despite being nothing more than a wide spot on a North Dakota highway, was the birthplace of both Darin Erstad and Travis Hafner.
