I got to play 12 holes several years ago during a wedding weekend, the rest of the course was closed due to flooding.

The 12 holes were pleasant and made me slightly upset the rest of the course wasn't open.

It looks decent. But they want $100 for it. Which seems nuts for the area.

I don't have anything against you personally, but I'm not letting you off the hook. You've been acting like a petulant child, calling me names and following me around the board for the past few days. You got upset when I complimented Jack Strand and threw a hissy fit when I named a thread in a way you didn't like. It's insane behavior for someone who is apparently older than me.

A school has to be in the AAU to join the Big10. I'm not "making it up." I was just pointing out how your analogy was broken. Feel free to prove me wrong. You can't, but try anyway.

I don't care that we both went to SMSU. You don't speak for me and I don't have to agree with you. You're also not the gatekeeper for the alumni or the "Mustang name."

You dug yourself a hole - the only "winnable" game UJ has is SMSU. Either SMSU wins and UJ goes 0-11, and you admit you're wrong about how "good" they are - or UJ wins and you get what you so desperately want want at the expense of the school you so dearly love, supposedly.

You and the other poster can enjoy your team thread without me - maybe you can tell him about how Marshall has "cultural issues," y'know, like what you said in your post before you edited it out?

I never said you were making anything up about the AAU requirement in the Big 10. What I said you were making up is that there was no vetting process for Jamestown. They were vetted. And the NCAA granted their membership request, so clearly they passed the vetting process.

And I don't know why you think I'd get so worked up about a single football game. That alone tells me you don't actually want to have a good-faith discussion, because I've said exactly the opposite for over a year. Wins and losses are not everything in life. I learned that in elementary school. Clearly other people are still learning this concept....

Based on the pictures that should be $70 tops. The Jewel in Lake City is $110 and that seems steep despite being a beautiful course.

I’d guess the greens are fantastic and the cost is to keep play at the right number (and clientele).

I haven’t warmed up to the Jewel yet. Couple of strange holes.

Like the Jewel quite a bit. Great track.

Played Tatanka in Niobrara, Nebraska this summer and it was spectacular. Highly recommend --

The most difficult golf course in an NSIC market, non-Twin Cities division, is Winona's Bridges Golf Course. It's not close.

I always thought it was cool that the NSIC ran the women's tournament in my backyard at Dacotah Ridge for several years. I don't blame them moving it south given the time of year they have to play.

Great course from what I've heard. Haven't played myself since probably 9th grade, so I never got to try it.

They have one of my most detailed scorecards too. Only one Ive seen in the area that has distances to traps and hazards.

Oakdale next to Lake Allie north of Buffalo Lake. You can eat at Chip Shots, where I have been to a number of class reunions. A few years ago they hosted the UMAC golf tournament.
