No one thought they would step in day one and be at a Division II national championship quality level immediately. Stop lying, you only make yourself look worse if you believed that.

They’re not even regional quality level. Only thing that looks worse is Jamestown record vs d2 teams.

your volleyball program clearly thought they would do well in nsic.

Okay, and? Does that mean the institution doesn't belong in Division II? Is that same standard applied to every other institution?

Great, they’re the bottom of the barrel D2. Congrats you lowered the bar to being as good as Crookston.

youre too passionate about Jamestown. This is wild.

So not being regional quality in the toughest region in Division II equals "bottom of the barrel D2"?

Im not sure region would matter for them. I mean, the success of Crookston across the board is so few and far between. Its one thing to invest and try to better yourself as a whole, but the sample size is pretty large where of I were them id say, what is the point?

I dont think their enrollment would change if they were down in D3. They have their own draw, as long as the programs stay the same.

So what's all this chatter about Crookston Football for?

Jamestown brings nothing to this conference, they can take Crookston with them back to NAIA

Surely you wouldn't compare just one sport though to judge an entire athletic department? Wasn't that your argument days, weeks, months ago?

                    • It's weird to say this - but Jamestown Volleyball was a massive disappointment, and football was a surprise.

I'd expected volleyball to win 5-6 conference games and football to win none.

That's not exactly a high bar to clear though.

Well, maybe you haven't noticed yet, but we don't exactly have any Division II metrics yet for Jamestown in men's and women's basketball, baseball, etc. That leaves only the fall sports, like football.

                        • It's difficult to gauge Jamestown U. success or lack uf success until at least 3 more recruiting cycles. Personally, I think they have a steep uphill climb to success.

                          • Disappointing loss this weekend but we have been competitive every game, our scores look better than the other bottom feeders. Speaking of bottom feeders Dakota State is 4-2, take notice NSIC, just a matter of time before we welcome the Trojans!

You really think the better football players at Jamestown will stay after 1-10 season?
