Should Jamestown be accepted into the NSIC?

I'll push back on this having been here and being a PR connoisseur in my past.

- 41st St. in Sioux Falls while often a zoo, turns over the food so often it's typically fresher and is usually the tops the list
- Brandon gets high marks and was the best until the Sioux Falls locations came to be (not east 10th St. though, this one is poor)
- Highly bias but Luverne's is small and mighty and what the OG PR was all about in small towns. Still under the same ownership as my childhood and highly consistent

They opened a location in the Nashville suburbs while I lived down there. Hearing the locals discuss this new pizza chain like it was from another country was very amusing considering I grew up with the place. Heck, USF football team banquets have neen held at PR due to their beloved status with Cali teammates who had never heard of it before coming to SF, and still long for it after they moved back. Of all the options we were given in SF, the Cali voting block for PR was hard to convince otherwise.

I was talking about Godfather's in the quoted bit - the Godfather's in Sioux Falls was okay, but the one in Watertown was better, for some reason. Apparently it's a "thing" too - I asked a friend of mine from there and he said the locals all know what's up.

As for Pizza Ranch, I've only been to Luverne once - but I took a stroll through downtown and the air smelled like pizza. I kinda dug it. The idea of catching a movie and walking next door to grab a buffet plate sounded like a fun night to me.

The one in Redwood was always decent. There aren't many other options in town anymore, so it's usually pretty busy nowadays. I spent a week working there and they'd deliver it to me every day. It was kinda neat.

Pizza Ranch is often a go-to for my family. Yeah it's not high-end food but it's a solid meal for the money.

For pizza buffets in Sioux Falls, I always liked Valentinos. The pizza was OK, but their lasagna was spectacular, and they had a great Mexican Corn Chowder soup. Also they had a "Chocolate Peanut Butter Temptation" dessert that was to die for. It was a sad day when the owners retired and they closed.

They brought Valentinos back to town a couple years ago, but it's only a take-out place. That's not the same.

I like Pizza Ranch, but haven't been there for over six years. My wife was at Pizza Ranch when she got the phone call that her mother had passed away unexpectedly, so she's got some bad memories associated with the place. We haven't been back since.

Dareo's on south Minnesota Ave has a pizza buffet that's pretty good. They have a "baked potato pizza" that is worth the price of admission.

When we were out in NYC/New Jersey a couple of weeks ago, now that was some good pizza, even at the airport. The wife said we were getting some Pizza Hut take out tonight, and while I like it, everything pales in comparison, now.... Unless I can get up to Bemidji and have some Dave's Pizza.

Not a buffet, but we stopped in at Sunny's Pizzeria on a recent trip to Sioux Falls. Pretty good pizza and basically right between both campuses for those who that's important for.

Walk in and order a "pie" to go and they'll make it fresh. Have a slice while you're waiting or some garlic knots.

I keep meaning to try Sunny's - it's right across the street from USF. I never hear much about it, but maybe that's a good thing. There's Big Poppa's on Minnesota which isn't bad if you're into Chicago style. Boss's is... an experience. Don't hate the food, but they're never really all that nice to be inside of.

Had Pagliai's in Mankato twice in the last month - I had it like 8 years ago and just never went back, no particular reason. With Za's drastically cutting back their hours, I needed a "new" spot - so I went with the classic. Safe to say it's my favorite pepperoni pie in the Mankato area now - Dino's for the margarita. I was a big Green Day fan in my younger years and am also quite fond of the band Durry, so that makes it fun. Wonderful pies, both times.

We stayed in East Brunswick with my son's hockey team. The little hole in the wall by our hotel we hit was Mancini's, I believe it was called. Then, when we were walking around Manhatten, we were by Rockefeller Center and found a place where we could get two slices and a pop for $7.50. Loved the fact they all threw them in the pizza oven to warm them up and get the crust crunchy.
