I had no idea Henderson State and Ouachita Baptist were literally next door to each other.
Back in 2008 I rode my motorcycle down the road separating the two schools. At the time USF was NAIA so I was unaware of either Harding or Ouachita.

As for Ouachita Baptist and Henderson State - the stadiums are so close that the "away" team uses their own locker room for the pregame. The two schools held a joint campaign to get College Gameday to come to town this year, and I'd heard if accepted they would have setup in between the two stadiums somewhere.

Surprised GameDay didn't go....seems up their alley

Yeah... I was hoping they would too. Would have been fun.

          • Not sure where else to post this - but did anyone else catch the video of Dom Studzinski and Kalen DeBoer from Saturday? That was kinda cool.

Also, "Studzinski" is maybe the best name I've ever heard for a strength coach.

Dom Studzinski was a defensive lineman for USF under DeBoer back in the late 2000s. He was a beast. I always admired that after he would flatten an offensive player, he would always help them back up. Even if the player didn't want to get back up.

                • Didn't see a dedicated thread for Bemidji, so I'll stick this here in the junk drawer thread:

Tonight while returning a kick Gunner Olszewski took an extremely violent hit to his head. He walked off the field with assistance, but you could see on his face that he didn't know where he was. Not good.

                      Linebacker Tundra :)

I know this as a former scout team center who was flattened a time or two (and helped up). My favorite being the time he pulled me up late in the season and said “it’s playoffs, time to pick it up a notch”

Ha - that's awesome! I can see why he's an SEC strength coach!

                          • The NSIC does a pretty good job of building up coaches - New Mexico's Jason Eck signed a five year extension yesterday, he spent time at MSU and Winona State. His S/C coach is an SMSU alum.
