Should Jamestown be accepted into the NSIC?

I noted when I was up there for the game that they have a daily direct flight from Denver. That's a nice recruting tool

yeah, Jamestown held onto key pieces which is surprising given the nature of d2 football. Almost anyone with eligibility that can play is transferring.

It's 25 degrees warmer in Denver than it is in Jamestown right now. It's a major metro area, there's going to be some contingent of quality football talent there and having a direct flight to/from home could be seen as a benefit.

Now that being said, I don't think it ranks very highly on the list of things a recruit might value so it's more of a fringe benefit for most. If it was a deciding factor, Concordia and Minot might just be NSIC champions every year.

A lot of these small, regional airports only fly to airline hubs (Denver is United). From there, anyone can get just about anywhere, and in this case, passengers are kind of "locked in" to United (unless they are willing to change airlines in Denver).

probably true but Denver now has 3 million people so there are going to be players especially in those big suburban schools. even if you can get a few every year, that may help Jamestown immensely. Time will tell

Couple things here - it's not a hotbed in the traditional sense, but it's a major metro area and as such, has a contingent of quality football players based on population statistics alone.

It also seems like the RMAC football schools are either in/around the Denver area (Mines, for example) or are fairly isolated (Chadron, BHSU), so I'm sure it's just a convenience to recruit the Denver area to begin with in both cases.

Also - I've never really read into the history of the RMAC before. Holy smokes, they had some big names pass through over the ~120 years of their existence!

Had a boss many years ago with a massive combover in the wind, it was like a sail. Started becoming follically impaired in my 40's, cut it short and haven't used a comb since...Now that's freedom.

I’m fortunate enough to have a full head at closer to 50 now than 40. Also no comb used in 20+ years (expect when they use one on me while getting a haircut), and never will enter the combover crew. Zero dollars will leave my pocket trying to fight it, should it happen eventually.
