I'd have to imagine the only real benefit to taking the SCSU job at this point is to be able to put "NCHC Head Coach" on one's resume.Originally posted by njmav1 View Post
Interesting-have not really heard anything. In many interviews he's emphasized the Mankato community as being a huge factor for the program. I wonder if St Cloud provides that much support.
The Huskies can try to polish that turd of an arena all they want, but it doesn't change their financial situation and a lot of legitimate concerns about their viability long term.
I don't follow the Huskies at all but I can't imagine that's a big enough step up for a guy like Strand. Hope I'm not naive.

Just their men's program, they are keeping their women's team.Originally posted by SW_Mustang View PostSpeaking of hockey, "going DI," - etc - Mercyhurst axed their hockey program this morning.
I guess mid major basketball wasn't enough to pay the bills. Who'd have thought?Millsy

From the NCAA's point of view, probably the best Frozen Four outcome as far as fan bases go. All travel well, sans Denver, but Vegas is almost right in their back yard.Originally posted by WSUWarriorFan View PostDenver, North Dakota, Michigan, and Wisconsin make it to the Frozen Four. Wonder which team Gopher fans hate less.
Of course, with it in Vegas this year, probably not much of a worry about selling tickets. Hockey fans have been clamoring for Vegas (and Nashville) for years.Millsy

Not a fan of the title game start time. 4:30 Central time on Saturday with the Masters going on. Should be at 7 or 8 but I digress.Originally posted by Millsy View Post
