Should Jamestown be accepted into the NSIC?

Real question is, how did St. Cloud State's football team do this year

Mary finishing 4th and Concordia at 6th seems like a surprise. The 8th place spot for the Bulldogs of Duluth seems like a disappointment for them.

The way the NSIC does the All-Sports trophy doesn't really tell the full story unfortunately, that's why I also posted how things would have shaken out in other conferences.

Mary benefits from being a school that sponsors the full array of NSIC Sports, Duluth does not. Duluth finished in 5th if you go based off of potential points efficiency as opposed to Mary dropping to 8th. I would prefer the NSIC go off of this rather than points awarded simply for fielding teams.

That said it may be a small motivator for schools to get their athletic offerings up. I expect St. Cloud to make a big jump in next years standings with them adding 3 sports for 2026-27

I am encouraged that they are adding sports back in, but wish they would be kicked out of the NSIC along with UMC for not sponsoring Football.

Agreed! Kick them out, add Dakota State, move conference offices to Sioux Falls where the conference media presence is Midco.

The whole reason you got brought on board was to even the league out again, in your scenario we would be uneven again. Either no Dakota State or we need to find another lost dog that needs a home like Jamestown (embarrassing, again).

If that were to come into fruition, it would be tine for AU and MSU to join the D1 ranks or split the conference up into haves and have-nots.There is no need to grow the NSIC and every reason for contraction. Thank you Zimmy!

Not quite to that extreme, but close. They stull do not belong, and nobody in the area outside of Morningside does at this point. If Wisconsin Parkside wants in or Upper Iowa I am all in over Jamestown and Valley City State. Might as well be playing Juco ball.

Eff it...lets just split now. Let's go with...MSU, Augie, Winona, Wayne, St. Cloud, UMD, CSP, Mary, Sioux Falls. That's a solid 9 team / 8 Football playing school conference. Bemidji can grovel their way in if they agree to sponsor more sports.
