This isn't an Upper Iowa situation where they had GLVC to fall back on. In order to get a GLVC-like conference for Jamestown to move to, more schools need to join Division II, not leave. And they need to join a current conference. I guess it's possible that for example Frontier Conference schools in the Dakotas could latch onto the GNAC during a transition instead of the NSIC, but otherwise there really is nowhere else to turn.

Which leads again to, there was no need to bring them in. Their struggles to find a home for conference play is not the struggles of the NSIC members. We threw out a life vest for them when we should have allowed them to sink.Originally posted by Stanger86 View PostThis isn't an Upper Iowa situation where they had GLVC to fall back on. You've been right all along Zimmy about the grifter Jimmies. Sooner or later, having played them will ruin some teams SOS just enough to miss a playoff game or home field advantage, that gets awarded to a MIAA, GLIAC Etc member. Their non-competitiveness will hurt the NSIC. Congratulations league decision makers, you got your 16th team.Originally posted by zimmy21 View Post

Or maybe the NSIC isn’t the powerhouse that it advertises itself as. The league certainly isn’t the MIAA or GLIAC. Haven’t won a football title since a Duluth pulled it off transitioning from being in the NCC with an athletic director serving as a head football coach.Originally posted by Stanger86 View PostThis isn't an Upper Iowa situation where they had GLVC to fall back on. Pretty tough to be a powerhouse when they allow scrubs like Jamestown to join.Originally posted by oldyellaHer69 View Post

Scrubs so bad they joined a new league and won it immediately? Let's work that logic out.Originally posted by oldyellaHer69 View Post
I’d think it would be easier when you’re playing scrubs and getting easy wins. Same model as the NCC when the current NSIC members were scrubs in that league.Mavs > Everyone

Since UMD 2010 NC as NSIC member. MSU went to the semifinals i FB. MSU and AU have NC in MBB. Add a NC WBB for the Mavs. AU Baseball, SB. CSP 9 in VB. SCSU 5 in Wrestling, WSU twice in MBB All except WSU are 2010 or later. I'm sure I missed some.Originally posted by oldyellaHer69 View Post

NSIC is better than it advertises itself IMO.
You're a TROLL oldyellar. Doubt you have ever stepped foot on UJ campus. Also, this is a no politics forum.

MSU has been to the Football Championship Game twice, Semi-finals I believe 4 times. MSU Softball won a championship. MSU Women's Indoor Track and Field won a championship. MSU Soccer and baseball have been in the Championship games as well. Not to mention the 2 Hockey Semi-finals, and 1 Championship game appearance (Doesn't matter to NSIC).Originally posted by vikingfaithful View Post

MSU football has been to finals twice. MSU baseball once. And MSU softball has a natty. Womens track has an indoor natty. The conference has a lot of individual national champions as well.Originally posted by vikingfaithful View Post

NSIC is a formidable conference - though I don't think they are as dominant as they once were in football. But that happens sometimes.

Sioux Falls
man what a well run state and city espcially compared to Minnsota.
higher incomes and no state income tax and lower cost of living to boot.
I remember the whole well you can move to South Dakota from Minnesota and yeah there no state taxes, but you won't make nearly as much money. Well that is an outdated opinion.
I know a young women who got a teaching job in a small town in South Dakota. Only making $2000 less than a starting teacher in Marshall (and marshall pays pretty well) but no state income taxes and a house costs 50% what it costs in Marshall.- that's an ok trade off if you are willing to live in a small town as your money goes a long way
