Should Jamestown be accepted into the NSIC?

Word is the selection committee had dinner at Paradiso and enjoyed their below average Mexican food and took it as a sign that Jamestown belongs in the NSIC but then they were offended by the Jimmy mascot after they looked it up on urban dictionary but decided the NSIC Influencers of Change Pledge could fix that problem. To cap off the night they celebrated with pumpkin spice non alcoholic margarita's and exchanged pronouns, job well done.

Mankato was the Jamestown of NCAA hockey when the WCHA allowed them to join. They ended up being in the bottom tier for most of the WCHA Part 1 existence. It was only after realignment and the "blue bloods" left the WCHA did Mankato hockey become something. ;)

Unfortunately it only counts as a tie in the eyes of the NCAA. Non-conference games that go to a shootout don't count as wins, the shootout is just for practice and the fans, basically.

The transfer portal has allowed St. Thomas and Augustana become competative a lot faster than when Mankato, St. Cloud and Bemidji moved up.

True point. Still a lot more competitive than I expected year 1.

St. Thomas has gotten good in a hurry thanks to the transfer portal. I see they landed Mr. Football Jake Ratzlaff too.

I doubt Jamestown has the same terms as Mankato was held to when joining the WCHA. Haha. Maybe Jamestown will pay for all travel (both ways) for the first two years? That may ruin them though, quite a few more sports in the NSIC than the WCHA :) If so, welcome aboard!!!

Also, I still think that applies WAY more to football than hockey. Hockey is a different animal and was a one sport deal. MSU got better at football when N/S Dakota teams moved up and the NCC fell apart.
