Should Jamestown be accepted into the NSIC?

I see the Jimmies are recruiting Fargo and Sioux Falls pretty hard. I wonder the distance......... Why would a solid d2 recruit from those areas go to Jamestown instead of another nsic local team?

They probably aren't going to Jamestown - it's probably the guys beneath them that are committing.

You could spend a couple of days in Minnesota just chasing these things down.

I would rate Big Ole only middle tier in Minnesota roadside attractions behind Babe and Paul (#1), the Pelican in Pelican Rapids, and The Green Giant in Blue Earth, St Urho in Menahga, and Chief Wenonga

T Roosevelt National Park is rugged and beautiful to explore. Did a 20 mile hike there after hiking up, White Butte, which is ND highpoint. Just look out for an occasional Rattle snake sunning their selves in the morning. My brother couldn't resist poking his hiking pole at one of them and elicited a lightning fast strike...He left them alone after that.

Driving across MN. two interstate highways isn't all that scenic either.

I think Dakota is great and underrated. TR is great, White Butte is great, but so are the rolling hills between Mandan and Dickinson.

Southwest Dakota is really wide open and underrated. And the Red River Valley has an charm too -- amazing to see something so flat for so long

We were heading up to Saskatchewan to watch our son play hockey, and for some reason, I thought we were running behind. But SK doesn't recognize Daylight Savings Time, so they were an hour behind us, and I knew that, but in my mind, I was struggling with it. On the way home, it was dark and we just wanted to get home as I had to work at 7 AM Sunday morning (got in at midnight).

I will admit, last year we did stop for lunch in Jamestown at some pizza joint/bar downtown. The wood fired pizza was pretty good. While the buffalo would have been great, the rest of the fam isn't into quirky roadside attractions.

Time to make the family appreciate quirky roadside attractions !

This I can agree with! My appreciation has evolved over the years. I still want to get out to Medora again for sure.

We were driving home between North Portal and Minot, and it was kind of inspiring (i have been through that area before, but was much younger). Driving through the gullies, very few houses in sight, the trees and prairie grasses changing colors, just thinking about being one of the first explorers through this area, walking or on horseback, and the image of Bison roaming the hills and gullies. Very much "Dances with Wolves" feeling.

But, I can also see the winters being very harsh out there. Yikes!
