I talked to some Northwestern (IA) NAIA coaches this spring at a softball regional. They were looking for a football game. I told them to contact St John's. They said that they did- and they were willing to go there- but St John's said no.

    Jamestown Men's Soccer
199 out of 203, can the Jimmie's get to 203 and win the STANG ERa award started in '86?

    Jamestown Women's Soccer
212 out of 261, will they score more than 1 goal? Dead last in NSIC

    Jamestown Football
155 out of 162, I suspect the Jimmies will be near 162 after Mankato destroys them

    Jamestown Volleyball
12th out of 16 in NSIC, Jamestown is finding out quick, the different levels to the NSIC and D2

    Makin' D2 proud

-Jamestown football is much worse than I originally thought
-SW Minnesota is not much better
-Volleyball plays anyone decent, they lose
-Men's Soccer might beat Crown but I can't see them winning another game

I don't think Jamestown was ready for D2
Hard to argue with any of that. Stats going down happens.

That football game I watched today = Buzz, your girlfriend

Yeah the Jimmies stats page was broken. Made it hard to get a read on what was happening. Not a great look.

First impressions of the deep dive to Jamestown are entirely positive.

    More details to come.

Not certain about either. My guess is the wages would be higher in NCAA D2 than NAIA, but I can’t speak to that. But I would also think that they’d have to try to be somewhat competitive wage wise in the conference.

As far as support staff…seems their athletic office and teams were already quite bloated. So likely not?

Speaking of insurance, with the storm that hit Bemidji earlier this summer, the Sanford Center really took a hit. Insurance is covering most of the repairs, which is great, since the arena is 15 years old and a lot of damaged equipment was nearing "it's end" and needing replacement.

Or someone needs to do a better job of cleaning around the fryer.
