Just a guess, I think they like Frontier even with travel. My guess is not having scholarships for sports would be tough on recruiting to Mayville and Valley.

The GPAC does not require football. But it only accepts Christian schools, so Bellevue isn't a candidate.

No, they have College of Mary in Omaha, which is women's only. I saw them play soccer at Southwest a couple of years ago.

DSU's program is highly ranked - up there with MIT and the like. One of the best in the country.

Agreed on SMSU. I wish we could drop several programs and focus on more tech related stuff. We do offer some cybersecurity education but it's not anything near DSU.

Bring them in, dump Jamestown before they see the conference

We can only hope that happens. Gotta be demoralizing losing all the time.

Just pitiful...I understand it's an underfunded outreach center essentially for the U. But damn it's just awful.

                    Volleyball - 14th of 15
                    Mens BBall - 15th of 15 * current
                    Women's BBall - 7th of 15 * current
                    Soccer - 15th of 15
                    Tennis - 10th of 12

And that doesn't take into consideration Cross Country or Golf that they are finishing at the back of the packs in. Save for men's golf who's in the middle of the pack at events this year.
At what point does the U consider them an embarrassment and take away their sports in general

                    • I hope this isn't behind a paywall. He claims that a D3 conference has talked to them- that has to be the UMAC.

The Univ. of MN doesn’t give two sh!ts about the Crookston campus. They barely care about Duluth. If it’s not the twin cities campus, it doesn’t really exist to them. I wouldn’t count on that path, unfortunately.

And yet, their outstate campuses love to sell High School seniors that their degree is a University of Minnesota degree, regardless of what campus they attend school at....hahah

Paywall for me, but that's exactly what I figure they'll do! They aren't joining the RMAC, they hopefully aren't hearing from the NSIC. If they are and we take in the NSAA guys. It's time for the Mavericks to get serious about moving up.
