When she leaves, how do I get that job? 20 years of little to no success whatsoever at that pay would get me damn close to retirement!Originally posted by MrMustang View Post

Sister played Vball at River Falls...she loved it, but I would have lost my damn mind. A) You're in Wisconsin. B) River Falls is like living in Waseca, MN it's big compared to where we're from but boringOriginally posted by MrMustang View Post
quite a contrast on how Wisconsin runs the UW system and proritizes those campuses as important and meaningful, as compared to how Minnesota runs the U of M system and MnSCUMavs > Everyone

This is a valid statement. Except for when it comes to athletics. Then Bucky likes to flex in the same manner goldy would like to be able to.Originally posted by MrMustang View Post

If there is one thing Wisco hates, it's D2 sports - and letting lesser D1s have football.
Would be cool to see what some of the WIACs could do in D2 if ever allowed the opportunity.

Very true. Maybe even other adjacent conferences too.Originally posted by Purple Mav Man View Post
It would greatly impact the NSIC, that’s for certain.
Not saying I want the U-Double-Dubs of the world to move up, but it would be interesting if they were ever allowed the opportunity.

Imagine Marquette, UW-Green Bay and UW-Milwaukee with football. No FCS or D2 schools at all (UW-Parkside doesn't have football). Reminds me of Omaha dropping football (and wrestling) and of course the Gopher stranglehold on FBS.Originally posted by SW_Mustang View Post

That would be pretty sweet! Though - Marquette could add football if they wanted. I bet the Callahan's would donate handsomely if asked. They aren't under the thumb of the mothership, but then again who knows what kind of influence the Badgers might have in that situation.Originally posted by laker View Post

Would love to see the UW branches add football (back?). Also want to see Superior get football back too.
UNO is a cautionary tale of jumping up. Had a great athletics department and are now nobodies, aside from hockey sometimes. I stopped by the football...er... soccer stadium when I was there. Shame they aren't using it for it's original intended purpose.

You know what would be interesting but I've never heard one word about it? For Marquette to start hockey. I know the Badgers would never let Green Bay or Milwaukee do it.Originally posted by SW_Mustang View Post
