Marshall GC gets demoted (heavily) due to the fact they seem to encourage 5somes. WTF??!? Tee sheet allows booking for 5. Hard pass.

And upon further inspection, it starts out with two 5 pars on #1 and #2. Weird.

Some of the biggest goofballs in Midwestern sports, I'll say that much.
I believe their fans feel like that is the plan and hope it happens, but I’m skeptical that the Big East conference and schools have any time for UST

Busy week and just didn't get on here but here is a rundown of Jamestown.

    1. Take the back roads. some of the small town in South Dakota and North Dakota are pretty nice. they are not dying. Not big towns but the farm economy is good and it shows in towns. Went by the Bobcat Plant in Gwinner. Massive place. Keeps America humming with great equipment.

    2. Nice ballpark in Lisbon. Nice ballpark in Lamoure.

    3. Lots of Catholic churches in those msall towns. Mostly German Catholics.

4.Went by Omega Tower near Lamoure. Before GPS, this was used to position naval vessels and subs all over the globe. One of 7 that were used by the navy and coast guard. Phased out with GPS.

    5. The back roads in ND are great. Hidden beauty.

    6. Jamestown is a nice town. Plenty to like.

    7. We stayed at the Fairfield by Marriot. would recommend. great outdoor patio with a fire pit and great place to relax, have a drink, and have a cigar.

    8. Jamestown Country Club. Good track. Enjoyed it. Just a step below Marshall Golf Club. But the greens were huge and impeccable. great greens.Nice course. will play again. Played well. Better on the back nine after I got used to the greens.

    9. Ate at Hondo's Hideaway. on the Resevoir. good food. place was packed. sat outside and looked at the big lake. reasonable prices

    10. Speaking of resevoir's - had no idea of the jamestown Resevoir and I have been to Jamestown several times. never got north of town to it. Huge lake. were dozens of boats still out there as the sun was going down.

    11. Jamestown campus is nice. Stadium is nice for D2. Closest comparison is Upper Iowa. Nice crowd. Rained the 3 hours prior to kickoff which i think hurt the crowd some.. PA was too loud. But good people and nice place. The stats were down and they have some work to do to get up to speed on being D2 and NSIC. Growing pains.

    12. Like the Orange helmets.

    13. We did not go to the buffalo. I was outvoted. shameful. I have been to it many times but to me it is like going to Bemidji and not visiting Paul Bunyan and Babe. Shameful

    14. Trip gets a "A". Back roads. small towns. great freinds and great conversation.

Jamestown volleyball won't be touching the top 10 in the central for a long time.D2 will be rough for Crookston 2.0. They're not ready for D2.

We gotta beat the PSAC guys somehow. We're closing in pretty fast.

Just wait until we all start arguing over MCAC football or which USports school we'd adopt into the conference (I want Manitoba)

Fewest points allowed by CSP in a NSIC sweep since October 27, 2023 (BSU lost 8-12-12)

I can go back to the 1980s when Sid Hartman kept saying in his column that UST would change their name to the University of St Paul for better recognition and go D1. It seemed funny at the time. But yes, I have heard about them wanting to get into the MVC and then on to the Big East. Well, at least they are in D1, they will be moving up to a big name hockey conference and their new arena will be ready in a few weeks. You never know. They do have the money.

I've heard that plan/idea floated around. Not sure if it has any merit or if its people dreaming but I personally wouldn't be surprised if they go that route down the road.

They not only got what they wanted, but they made people feel like they were screwed in the deal. Poor poor Tommies
