I saw that NDSU's HC is leaving for a LB coaching position at USC. This got me thinking about any movement or NSIC Coaches who maybe heading to other NSIC programs or moving to other divisions. Former UMary OC Andy Kotelnicki has moved from Kansas to Penn State and I hear NDSU's DC Jason Petrino who was Mary's DC is in the running for Entz's positions at NDSU.

As of right now it looks like UMary's staff is in tact. It is always good to get some consistency but we all know thats never the norm. Has there been any movement with your programs? promotions, departures?

Since you're mentioning FBS coaches with NSIC connections, David Braun (former Winona player and GA) got the permanent gig at Northwestern.

I was thinking you were talking about Motorcycle Bob for a second there... but I see it's Jason.

Not sure if anyone is aware, but the University of Washington's HC has a couple of ties to the University of Sioux Falls.

In all seriousness, Washington State's general manager is an SMSU guy. Not to brag, but I went to school with him and am therefore directly responsible for his success at the FBS level.

This made me laugh, I do know they are related. Glad to see Bob back at it and back at Arkansas of all places as their OC

I listened to the Misery Sate/SDSU game last year when he was coach - the Jacks radio folks were trying to talk up Bob the Biker, but struggled to do so.

"He is a former NFL coach with Atlanta and umm... coached at Arkansas, and... yeah. Now he's here." - something to that effect. It was hilarious.

I can see another FCS team picking him up but he did have a stop as Head Coach at Rocky Mountain. Will be interesting to see where he ends up.

I've had a few league coaches reach out to me and say that rate is pretty good..all things considered.

While Coach Shields has started his tenure by using guys he's known in the past for his staff..I'm now curious if we see someone within the league (maybe that isn't a DC yet) go after this opening. The location isn't a selling point but the career advancement would be.
