What’s your best guess at what happens? When MSU went 0-11 in 2003, that was it for Clarence Holley. Of course, he was kind of a clown, and Underwood seems competent from previous years. A lot of tough decisions likely ahead.

In a similar vein, I was pretty excited about the momentum we seemed to have on the recruiting trail in August and early September. It has been completely silent since, for obvious reasons.

No chance we take one from USF on the road. Seems like we were improved last week, but not enough.

Underwood was a good coach at SCSU. Not sure if he's the problem or not - but to be honest, I've only checked in on scores this year. Haven't been involved beyond that.

I don't think canning Underwood would be wise, though it has crossed my mind about the chance that this administration could try to make a money-saving move like that.

I think about 85% of the team's problems this season have come down to the offense and specifically the QB position. I don't know if the solution to the problem is on the roster. I like the upside of the true freshman Kluender, but he's just so green still. But getting two games of experience in what will ultimately be a redshirt season, hopefully pays dividends down the road.

What I'm curious about is the offensive hierarchy. Who is calling the plays, Patterson or Cunha? Have we seen enough positive signs to keep them both on the staff going forward? And I don't envision Underwood letting go of Patterson.

I'm not out on him just yet either. I think we were headed this direction for the last several years.

Not sure on the admin. He was their hire, but then again - never know. I doubt they let him go though.

I just remembered....since this is only Year 3, they probably won't fire him unless a major scandal erupts in the locker room. Because they'd be stuck paying him a buyout, I'd assume.

If I remember right, most MnSCU contracts are for 4 years, so 2025 might be a pivotal season for Underwood.

I don't think Scott's job is in trouble. As I have said, we were 4-1 in year one and then the QB got hurt. And for whatever reason we don't have a qb at this moment except for the true freshman who started a game this year and then got hurt in that game with a season ending injury. So, the redshirt or not to redshirt decision was made for him before Scott was able to evaluate him.

Will he be forced to make some changes to the staff? Maybe, i don't know.

I do know Scott was a winner at SCSU but it is harder here. I think many would say what's the point of starting over next year - where does that get us? I think there is some support for that.

I do know we need new locker rooms and more scholarships.

i will say the O Line play has been a huge disappointment. I have said that earlier this year too. We suddenly can't run the ball and thus we are one dimensional. And when one dimensional with a less than spectacular qb, that's a recipe for disaster.

Parker Knutson was unsurprisingly named NSIC First Team Defense today.

Garbage time stats or not - I think what he did was really impressive as an individual performer.

I'm going to continue to go back to this....how does not a single player from Minneota land in the NSIC over and over and over again? Ryan Meagher might not have top level NSIC size or speed, but his production absolutely deserves to be recognized on the recruiting trail. I just don't get it.
