then you add that the AD will be new with an "interim" president and it will really be gridlock.

Not 20 years, but same promise at Augustana.

Sad thing is - any money gained from M4L activities isn't even a bandaid on the problem. That part of campus needs a complete overhaul. Maybe they'll have enough to get a new whiteboard, some rugs, and a coat of paint for the closet they have to change clothes in.

What I want is an athletic building built on the old practice fields - move everyone out of the R/A that isn't basketball, then give basketball that space for a full locker rehab. One can dream, I guess.

I also thought it was interesting that the general fund wants to replace the banners in the R/A (and PE, I assume) with newer ones.

Also visited the softball field recently and the updates they made to that look wonderful - sounds like they want to do more. Hopefully a new scoreboard or something.

Does the NCAA really need to defend something like that in court? The courts haven't been kind to the NCAA.

I don't disagree - but I believe both her and her husband are Winona alums. I'd take that job at my alma mater if offered.

I hope that's not the end of the momentum our non-football teams have been building.

Sorry for dumping on Marshall so hard. I'll let it go - I gave it some thought and it's strange to let a town I don't live in anymore occupy that amount of mental space. People are free to enjoy living wherever they choose. I didn't like it so I did the sensible thing and moved. The tough part for me is watching SMSU exist in a place like that - for reasons best kept to myself at this point.

I don't know what I said that made anyone think I hate the NSIC. I may not agree with every decision they make, but I'm also allowed too. I love SMSU and MSU about equally and am very fortunate to spend the amount of time and money that I do on them - as well as Augustana and USF thanks to their proximity.

As for the Summit League - I don't understand what that has to do with anything, but correct. I don't enjoy the sports so I don't go. I live next to SDSU and I will pay for a ticket when an NSIC or P4 team comes to town, because that's what I enjoy watching and it's cheaper than driving elsewhere. I've tried to keep that opinion off the board as of late but it keeps getting brought up. I maintain no affiliations to SDSU beyond being appreciative for the education they gave me.
