  • Casting to tv

I've been holding off on this question for awhile. Has anyone been able to cast from the nsic app to their TV. It hasn't worked for me.

sorry can't help you. we just have the NSIC app downloaded right on to the tv so it just comes up like Netlfix, Prime, or any other option. don't need to cast

We use a Roku device for, (cheap) TV viewing.

I have an Samsung phone (Android) and have been able to Chromecast from my phone to our Samsung and Vizio TVs. But, I use the NSIC Network from the Fan Zone on the NSIC website rather than the NSIC app.

Thanks for all your suggestions. I think I'll just get a fire stick.

Just my own personal experience, but we started with firestick and now have all Roku's.

My Sony TV has Google TV build in (formerly Android). I have one TV with Firestick and one with Roku. I installed the NSIC app on the Google TV and the Roku TV, pretty seamless and works well. Never tried the firestick because it is in bedroom.

I have also streamed from my Mac and from my Iphone to TVs. If I"m at someones house and they want to watch, you can do the screen mirror assuming the TV is new enough. If on mac, there is a mirror symbol on top of screen then can pair with TV. If on iphone, swap down from top right of screen and will see the mirror option. App is way to go if you have firestick, Roku, or built (Roku, Android, Google). If you need to mirror to TV easy enough as well, there are some youtube videos you can find by search on Google.

I just use my laptop and a long HDMI cord that I plug into my TV.

That's what I've done up to this point. We recently dropped cable and went to streaming, so now I have a Roku device. Going to use the NSIC app starting this season.

I attend as many Northern games as I can but the few I don’t make I use the app and for the most part it works great.
