This is a bit of a strange one for me personally -

First ever college football game (overall, but also as an SMSU student): MSU @ SMSU, 2013
First college football game at the Blake: SMSU @ MSU, 2018
First college football game as an SMSU alumni and first college football game as an MSU student: MSU @ SMSU 2019
Last college football game as an MSU student: SMSU @ MSU 2025

That last one is a bit of an asterisk - going to depend on how the rest of Augustana's season matches up with the weather in Sioux Falls and what else is going on hockey wise. But still, it's a weird arrangement.

Thought Mavs looked like a whole new team last week and was the best they've looked all season. Might've found an identity with this new power run and the defense is flying around hitting folks. Win this weekend and we're in playoffs, maybe even home game. Yes sir. 👍🏼

Mavs are the only team I don't want to see the Dogs face round 1 of the playoffs. As dumb as it sounds, I'd rather see Ferris.

I understand that feeling. Two years ago the Mavs played Augie twice- I thought that they had a good chance there in the playoffs. Got blown away. Last year the same thing happened- and the Mavs did win.

Playing Bemidji in the region championship was different. Both teams had one two games and so a rematch was fine. But I hate first round conference rematches. It does seem odd that the NSIC could have three teams in, two with only one loss, and still not host. Still, better than not making the playoffs at all.

Too bad that the Mineral Water Bowl isn't still around. That would be nice to have an NSIC team in that.
