I understand that feeling. Two years ago the Mavs played Augie twice- I thought that they had a good chance there in the playoffs. Got blown away. Last year the same thing happened- and the Mavs did win.
Playing Bemidji in the region championship was different. Both teams had one two games and so a rematch was fine. But I hate first round conference rematches. It does seem odd that the NSIC could have three teams in, two with only one loss, and still not host. Still, better than not making the playoffs at all.
Too bad that the Mineral Water Bowl isn't still around. That would be nice to have an NSIC team in that.
The positive side to no home games in round 1 for NSIC teams:
Kind of random - but I was at the Olympic Curling Trials tonight and noticed one of the guys was from Mapleton - Aidan Oldenburg - turns out he's an MSU alum.
His team is one win away from a spot in the Olympics.
Didn't get there in time to meet the Kelce family unfortunately.
Wow. What a totally different team we looked like yesterday. I was so impressed with our passing attack and effort from the guys. Off to Indy who likes to throw the ball around a lot. Will be won or lost in the trenches again. Keep going Mavs.
mavsfan98. See u in Indy. Maybe we can find another Flighthouse!!!!! Also read on Indy’s football tailgating info site, that tailgating starts 2 hours before!!!’n. I’ll be there 4 hrs before!!
Indy normally has 1 or 2 stud skill pos. Guys who kind of carry them. Not sure if that's the case this year, but that has been the MO when Pitt has played them.
