I've always hated Augie for rivalry reasons, but have hate USF for person, ethical reasons for 21 years. This loss sucks. Encouraging to be competitive and plenty of season left, but this one hurts terribly.

            Time to reflect.

The opening drives were a roller coaster of first thinking boy we are bad on defense, followed by wow, we can really move the ball on offense.

Then it was mostly a stalemate for awhile.

I didnt see the 3rd quarter, but the scored doesn't reflect how close this really was. In the end, they looked absolutely exhausted and just couldn't finish. Maybe it is a first game thing, who knows.

In the end, very encouraging to battle like that. USF is clearly a good team. I havent looked at their record, but they should finish near the top.

Need to start fresh and get a few Ws in a row here. I really hope it doesn't end up a year of playing everyone close but coming up short.

I do think after last nights game, Bagozzi is officially QB1 and it’s his to lose. Britt makes way too many mistakes throwing the ball.

Probably Brock’s job now and I’m fine with that as we have some dudes at WR we need to get the ball downfield to. But he also needs to be smarter with the ball. He threw 2 wildly horrible interceptions last night himself.

It would appear Bagozzi won the job as he played the entire second half. I do think Britt has looked much better throwing the ball this season than he did last year. Bagozzi has one REALLY bad INT in the endzone but the other was a last second throw to end the first half so I don't worry too much about that one. I think NSU has some very good weapons on offense and whichever one of these guys ends up under center will have the opportunity to be successful.

I think this may be the best all around team Schmidt has had in his tenure at Northern. He always seemed to have either a good defense OR a good offense but never both. This year I would say both sides of the ball are above average.

According to my app, high of 72 and 12 mph winds.

I'll remain pessimistic until I actually see it, haha

If the Wolves are going to have the season many are hoping for, then they need to take care of business tomorrow vs. CSP. If the defense can fly around like they did against Wayne I think CSP will have trouble scoring. I really hope the offense can get on track and score early and often. It should be a great day and a good crowd for Gypsy Days. GO WOLVES!!!

Dominating win by the Wolves yesterday. Both sides of the ball
                                played well.
