My GOTW is USF @ MSU, but I'm also curious about MSUM/UMD, and NSU/Mary.

Plan is to attend St. Olaf at Carleton this year, finally - but if those plans fall through I'll be at MSU. Where's everyone else going?

The hardest game for me to pick was Bemidji @ Minot. Both teams have struggled mightily this season.

I think Bemidji takes it, but you're right. Definitely one to keep an eye on.

I will be in Minot, watching the two Beavers try to grind out a victory. I have a hunch that we’ll see more of the RS freshman QB, Bart McAnich from BSU.

question for the VB fans on the board…would the CSP vs Minot State VB game be a decent one for a middle school player to check out on Friday evening?

Mary@ NSU. Was impressed with Mary and their true freshman QB Hudsen Sheldon against Augie. Gotta go with the Wolves at home, expect a high scoring affair.

If you don't have anything else going on, I'd recommend it. It's not going to be a competitive matchup, but you'll still get to see the #13 team in the country. That's worth something in my opinion.

I would agree with that. On the whole, NSIC is a good brand of volleyball, even if matches might not always be even.

I think Bemidji takes it, but you're right. Definitely one to keep an eye on.

So far Bemidji hasn't shown they can stop the run, which is a problem if Minot's triple-option starts to click at all. I think home field gives the Red Beavers a slight advantage, but frankly it's probably going to be ranked as my "least sure" pick in the confidence pool.

The Dudes Questions for the Week
Minnesota State-Moorhead at Minnesota-Duluth - UMD answered every question I had last week. MSUM, just created more. Will anyone on D help Strand out? Will Waljasper get pulled at half?
Jamestown at Concordia-St. Paul - Jimmies will have one more shot at a win after this game. Can they get this one?
Bemidji State at Minot State - Someone's 0 has got got go. Whose? Bemidji should be the favorite but I haven't seen anything that would back that up. Only watching this score to see which Beaver I should be a believer in.........
Winona State at Augustana - Augustana by a mile.... Not so fast, Winona has been scrappy. Will this end up being the best game of the week that no one saw coming?
Southwest Minnesota State at Wayne State - Wayne seems to have righted the ship after the BAD NSU game. Will they continue the improvement and hang 40+ on the Ponies? Can the Wildcats get that impressive run game going again?
Northern State at Mary - Eating my words from earlier as Brock B seems to now be the man....... That is not the side of the football that this game will be won or lost on however. Can Marys Offense keep up? NSU has been good at home, can the win on the road?
Sioux Falls at Minnesota State-Mankato - So many questions for this game. Hopefully we get some solid answers. How will USF bounce back? How good is Mankato? Can we throw out the UMD game for both of them? Can USF beat Mankato again on homecoming? Who wants it more? Playoffs? Will the fans all blend in together wearing black and purple?

Sioux Falls at Minnesota State-Mankato - So many questions for this game. Hopefully we get some solid answers. How will USF bounce back? How good is Mankato? I think with USF losing so many guys to injury vs UMD last week USF is going to struggle in this one.

The game is in Bismarck this weekend, but I do still feel confident in the Wolves chances. Mary has caused problems for NSU teams in recent history, and the FR QB seems exciting, but I think NSU is a much more complete team this season. The Wolves have had struggles on the road at times as well so this is a good opportunity to get a W on the road.

Tough position for the Dragons this week. Would love a chance to bounce back, but their opportunity is on the road against a great looking Bulldogs team. Picked UMD in the other thread, but of course fingers crossed for an upset. Hoping to be pleasantly surprised.
