Augustana QB Gunnar Hensley has an ankle injury and was carted off field. So far this season has thrown 172 passes without an int and 13 TD. Up 34-19 with 3 minutes left in the game he ran a draw and his foot got caught in the turf, (never understood why we don't have grass) Guessing he's out for season. Draw play with game in hand? Hopefully OC didn't call that, also lost leading RB Ryan Kenny for season. Nice win over a good Winona team.

Ha, yeah - they are easily one of the most expensive schools in the state. Beautiful campus though. Someday I'd like to see this game played at Klein Field. Carleton has a nice campus too but St. Olaf is gorgeous.

Did basketball camp at Oaf, had a summer class at Knarlton. I concur.

I like how St. Olaf feels "rural" where as Carleton has more of an "urban" feel despite the distance. Such a fun afternoon - hate that it came on MSU's homecoming but it was a bucket list game for me.

Don't mean to spam this thread with MIAC stuff - but I read up on Carleton's QB Jack Curtis after he threw for 396 yards and 3 TDs today.

And my goodness. I wish I would have shaken his hand down at Bridge Square after I ran into him post game. That's hardcore:

Not sure what to think about the Mustangs anymore.

I honestly think this year's team is worse than last year's despite the gift given to us by Jamestown.

Hoping we figure something out in the next 10-15 years. That's how bad it feels right now.

I saw the score so I thought I’d watch the NSU game and holy smokes was this a sloppy affair. Mary did everything they possibly could to lose this one, dumb penalties, missed throws, blocked FG, you name it.

NSU did what they needed to do in order to win, but it did not feel like a 53-14 game. Mary was able to move the ball, but ultimately shot themselves in the foot on most drives. I don’t know why I keep feeling like this, but NSU is playing well and dominating games these last three weeks…and yet, I feel like they can play much better. Hopefully Mountain is not out long term.

Didn't he come back in the game? I thought he did.

Our offense did whatever they wanted today. Defense is definitely shaky as we still gave up a ton of yards, but Wolves had their way today, penalties aside.

Going into the season, who saw Bemidji as the only team to start 0-5?

Spoke to a few people up in Mankato yesterday at the football game and I had two questions about THE FUTURE project Mankato is doing.

First, why have a 6000 capacity stadium when yesterday’s crowd was announced as the fourth largest??? Not for sure on the actual attendance number, but I think it was close to 7000!!!

My second question was in regards to your post where u stated….

“(never understood why we don't have grass)”

Isn’t that why everybody likes Mankato‘s football stadium because of the beautiful natural grass?

The new stadium calls for artificial surface!!!

I think these two items are items that they could improve on.

Mountain, Kraft, Britt, and Ouellette all got hurt and didn’t come back. Britt hurt is shoulder toward end of the game. Ouellette got his helmet ripped off and required stitches.

Mary had less than 30 yards rushing.

I felt outside of a few big plays the defense played well.

A 6000 capacity says were staying D2 for good.

Hopefully plans don't get truncated as that is a beautiful athletic complex

                              Is the building dorm rooms?

Augustana football is the only team that uses KO stadium, so why not natural grass turf.

Great crowd yesterday! But, not every home game is sunny and 70 degrees. Nor are all home games homecoming against a good opponent.

Also, seating capacity of roughly 6,500 also means room for likely up to 7,500/8,000 in SRO & berms, etc.

Building it realistically sized, with room to grow if needed, is the smartest decision they can make. Ask West Texas about it, they can’t fill their beautiful place at 8,500

EDIT: Attendance listed at 6927 Saturday
