I've accepted that this streaming horse has left the barn. Still, I sure wish that there was only one (unrealistic) or 2 (possible??) platforms for D2. Flo has seemed to improve and they pick up a few conferences so It's nice seeing a few OOC matchups or even the game when a team from ones home conf. is playing OOC and being able to watch the game... live or delayed.

Correct, it would not. This seems to be status quo for the schools and their current coverage. The only change is that NSIC Network will require a subscription, and teams will bring in revenue from it.

Getting close to the season, looks like it will be $15 a month. I'm trying to read through the terms, I only care about football, so hoping I can cancel after football season. Yet, I said I was out, but kinda changed my mind, I do enjoy watching the games, when I can not attend.

I have. I already had a subscription for CCHA hockey. Now I get alot more but still not sure how much of it I will watch beyond CCHA and NSIC.

I honestly don’t know that I will sign up. I really enjoyed watching random NSIC games and sports the last few years, but I don’t know that I cared enough to pay for coverage

MSUM used to stream all home games on their digital channel so I got Midco and then they did the pay wall. It's not worth it to me to pay for the added subscriptions so guess I'll read about the Dragon's game on page 6 of the Forum, right after the story of NDSU's third kickers cousin's dog story...

If you're in FM and have an Antenna I think you can get the home Dragons games on WDAY2/WDAYXtra

Not opposed to paying for a streaming product. No objection to paying $15/month or $79/year. In my opinion, if it's not worth that to me, am I really a fan?? We were actually at the game in Duluth last night until the lightning delay and had to get home for work this morning, but I have the app installed on our Android TV's and iPhones anyway.

So, having not actually watched a livestream in the app yet, my one complaint so far is not the cost, it's the authentication in the app on Android TV.. Haven't tried Roku or Apple TV to see if the same complaint holds true there.. The authentication process is absolutely garbage. There is no QR code or "log in from device" option, and no option to view the password you entered, and you can't even see the characters you select in the password form as you enter them, which means it's not practical to have a password that is actually secure. It's an unnecessarily painful process. It's not difficult, especially in the day of AI coding, to add a useable authentication method. Midco needs to do better than that. Imagine all the grandparents trying to tune in to see their grandkids play and having to log in with that app with a password more complex than their favorite pets name!

Yeah, it is all personal as far as what something is worth to you. 15 bucks a month to have access to all that nsic and summit league action was worth it to me. I mean, thats basically $3.75 a game if you watch jjst your one team. That's close to the cost of a 20oz bottle of pop, lol.

I think it is important to know the production is still local, they just stream though midco. It is way easier to swap between games. The opening weekend was not a good start, last night wasnt bad.

I had been a midco customer since early 2000s. We only have them for internet now, but i honestly miss having them for cable over all the streaming services. Always had great experience with customer service. Organizing all the apps and streams is a pain and i long for the days of knowing the number of the channels you watched and being able to just click it in quick to swap back and forth. That previous channel or swap button. Simpler times.

I signed up this morning via the website, and used a 32 character random string password generated from my password manager. I then went and added the Midco Sports Plus app to my Roku. When I started the Roku app and went to log in, I was presented with a "log in from device/QR code" option that made the login process pretty easy. I'm glad, as I wasn't looking forward to entering that secure password via my remote.

So it does look like they support this feature on Roku.
