Do all teams in the NSIC have spring games? If so, does the school make it an event of some sort or no?

I'm not sure about all the schools but MSU used to do a decent spring game scrimmage between the Offense starters / Defensive backups vs Offense backups/Defense Starters....now they have been doing some scrimmages against other schools typically on some neutral site hours away from either schoolOriginally posted by Discopooch View PostDo all teams in the NSIC have spring games? MSU Spring game is Saturday, April 18th at 1 PM, followed by the BBQ at 3.
For those adventurous souls, MSU is playing Nebraska-Kearney in Sargent Bluff, Iowa (just south of Sioux City) at 2 PM on Saturday, April 11th.

I believe it was two years ago, when the NCAA eased some rules (back to preCovid?) that allowed teams to play spring games/scrimmages against other schools. Bemidji went to UMD 2 years ago and down to CSP last year. This weekend they will be hosting the Dragons from Moorhead, which will be our first look at a QB not named Jack Strand. I'm guessing both teams will sit a number of older starters, but football is funOriginally posted by zimmy21 View Post

Gotcha....
I thought maybe some schools would host or make plans to showcase other sports while football scrimmage is going on....ex: home baseball and/or softball games with a football scrimmage sandwiched in between..? Have a tailgate scene or BBQ or something regarding the university at the same time. (shrugs...)
