Watched Mesa and SD Mines online. Both teams about what I expected. Mesa is struggling at QB. They had Ruel in for a quarter until he gave up a sack fumble and a pick. Bollinger came in and connected better with Anderson, but also gave up a sack fumble and a pick. Howard and Bollinger traded snaps in the 4th. They had a little trouble running the ball against Mines which surprised me.
Defensively CMU looked out of sync most of the game. They got some help from the Mines QB who is really in over his head I think. Some real playmakers in the defensive backfield for Mesa.
Mines receivers impressed me a little. That's probably the strength of their team and the reason the QBs yardage was up there.
Mines led most of the game but Mesa turned a corner in the 4th and won the game on a goal line pick after giving up 46 yards in the 2-minute drill.
