  • First Regional Rankings

    SR4 Rankings:

    #1 Tarleton St
    #2 Minnesota St
    #3 Colorado Mines
    #4 CSU Pueblo
    #5 Angelo St
    #6 Texas A&M Commerce
    #7 Augustana (SD)
    #8 Sioux Falls
    #9 Winona St
    #10 West Texas A&M

If #4 and #5 stay the same, good ol' ASUPops will be crying about the thin air causing the Ewes' QB to overthrow the receivers when they come to Pueblo.

  • #2
Angelo and Commerce still to play, that will make things a bit interesting. Pueblo with maybe the on paper easiest remaining schedule. Some injured guys due to come back within the next 3 weeks.

Kinda nice. Both should host a game as well if they take care of business.

I feel a little uneasy about Mines winning out. The defense gave up too many yards against Azuza.

Most likely a rematch with TAMUC. Hope the Lions show up this time.

Anything could happen, still have to beat 10 WT and 5 Angelo St to set up rematch.

Remember other region's (SR3) teams come into play when looking at the 5-7 seeds so it's not that straightforward now. We shall see.

I agree. And, TAMUC still has some business to take care of. Just appears to be the most logical outcome based on recent history. Definitely not a given.

I'm hoping to see an SR3 team come to Pueblo personally. Someone from the MIAA would be great.

Angelo vs Commerce should be fantastic and Pueblo needs to find a way to win in Durango. Scary proposition there.

But so does the NCAAs desire to reduce travel expense. So, it is very possible they would switch Pueblo to play Mines just to reduce first round travel. Which would be a travesty, btw.

John trying to do too much at times as well - he is a Freshman and that will happen. Not to mention that it seems every single team is coming after him with late hits and questionable dives at his legs. Zeman's play was encouraging. He is a half step slower than Cam but runs very angry. An ugly win is always better than a loss. I'm told that the players were not happy at all with the way they played, so hopefully they will learn and get better from it.
Did the team bus or fly out there? Not fun to play after a crazy long trip. Plus a start time that is late.

A lot will depend on Angelo vs Commerce. They can't put Commerce 1 spot ahead of Pueblo due to H2H so they would be in a bind to try and match Mines & Pueblo up in the first round were Commerce to win out. Let's hope they don't figure out how to make it happen.

I think Pueblo would beat Mines in a rematch. Just like last year.
